A Short Guide to OC’s and Multi-muse Blogs
On OC’s
Ask yourself:
Does my OC have an original and/or unique backstory?
Does my OC stand out for some reason (aka, are they original)?
Does my OC have enough information to make them 3-dimensional?
(If you answer yes to 1or2 and 3, move on)
(If not, consider - if I didn’t know my muse what would I want or need to know. Ask yourself, is there a characteristic, habit, ability, origin that is fresh and unique that I can implement? or try using this: to develop character you don’t need to include ALL this info but if YOU can answer all questions, you’ll write better)

OC blog tips:
Ask Yourself:
Is it easy to find my OC’s information?
Is it clear what fandom (if any) my muse is from?
Are my verses easily accessible (if you have multiple)?
(If yes, move on. If not consider having links to your bio, rules and or verses on your homepage)

Multimuse Blog Tips:
Ask yourself:
Are all my muses developed enough to use?
Do I have clearly presented information on each muse?
Can people find my muses and bio’s easily from my homepage?
Do I have a way to track all my muses separately?
Do all my muses have their own space (big or small)?
If you have Canon and OC: is it clear which is which? and do OC’s meet guidelines above?
(If yes to all, Congrats! you have a multimuse blog that should run smoothly)
(if no see tips below, number correspond to questions)
See OC guide above or use a character development sheet like this one
Make sure you have all the info you want people to know, pretend you’ve never met or heard of your muse: what do you need to know?
Consider adding a muse link on your homepage. Have bio’s on the muse page or links to their bio’s under each muse.
Tags Tags Tags. They don’t have to be fancy! my favourite is just to use a “c: [muse name]” format. That way if I need all my posts for only one muse they are right there. (You may have as many tags as your heart desires just remember to keep track of them!)
Back to Bios and Tags: Does each muse have their own tag and or page with their posts, verses, bio etc. (think mini blogs within a blog, or rather rooms in a house)
See above OC guide.
