My takeaway from yesterday's post is that it would be nice if "allies" could remember that all the locker room talk that trans women heard and were (rightfully!) scared of?
We were the targets of it. Trans men experience sexism and misogyny too, we get the street harassment, the pressure to find a good boyfriend, to be feminine, just as much as cis women do because as far as everyone is concerned we're the same!
And then we get into the queer community, and frankly way too many feminist circles, and we're told we're predators in women's spaces when the same women who say it are the ones who fucking refuse to uncouple procreation from womanhood
Like for fuck's sake, it's annoying enough to get it from cis people but having to hear it from a trans woman? Really?
Fuck, it's not even nine am and I'm already tired of the bullshit
