2: What's your opinion on John Winchester?

I think he was deeply, fatally flawed by his obsession. As a character, that makes him interesting. As a parent, that makes him a terrible parent. But I think if you pointed out all the terrible things he did to him, he would be shocked to realize the damage he caused/was causing. He loved his boys, but I think his obsession so clouded his judgment that he didn’t see his mistakes for what they were. That doesn’t make his mistakes forgivable, of course. A character striving for moral good while constantly committing moral wrongs to achieve it is still a bad character. 

4: Which is your favorite episode?

The French Mistake. It’s so dumb, and it makes me laugh EVERY TIME. 

7:What's your opinion on Megstiel?

I don’t ship it, but it doesn’t bother me (except for mental hospital dub-con scenarios).

25: Do you think Destiel will become canon in season 9? (Regardless of whether you want it to or not)

I think that some backtracking would be needed to avoid it. The train is rolling in that direction, and the show is setting itself up to address the relationship in one way or another. 

32: What's an unpopular opinion or headcanon you have?

Oh goodness. I don’t have any problem with the idea of Dean or Cas showing interest in other people (although I do think they’re in love with each other). A lot of folks vehemently disagree with that, and it’s their right to do so. But my experience of love is that it isn’t tainted by the experiences the people bring into it: it’s enhanced. 

Otherwise, I guess that I multiship all the characters? And I like them in polyamorous relationships (Dean/Cas/Benny, Wincestiel) a LOT. 

39: Which actor would you most like to meet in real life?

I think meeting Misha would be a ball of laughs. But I’d love to know Jensen personally. He has so many walls, and I want to know what’s behind them - the little bit that I’ve gleaned suggests we have some shared perspectives, so he’d be interesting to talk to.

43: Have you ever made a Supernatural reference out loud and received strange looks from some of the people surrounding you?

My husband and I call each other assbutts sometimes :) (jokingly, of course!!)

48: What's an unpopular ship you have?

Any femslash seems to be a rarepair in this fandom, and I wish there was more femslash! Charlie/Jo and Anna/Jo both interest me :)

64: What's your biggest fear for season 9?

Uh, another episode like Man’s Best Friends with Benefits. Please, can we have a season with no episodes I have to pretend don’t exist?

8: When did you start watching Supernatural?

I started watching episodes on Netflix a year or so ago. After I got caught up, I started watching S8 live (but I think it was already into mid-season hiatus time by the time I was caught up, so I only watched the second half of the season live).

9: Which episode title do you think is the funniest?

Live Free or Twihard :)

10: What's your opinion on Garth?

I think he's interesting. (Interesting is a wonderful thing for a character to be.) Garth gives us another angle on what it means to be a hunter, and I like how he can act as a foil to the brothers. 

11: If you could bring back any character, would you? If so, whom?

OH there are a lot. I mean, there are a lot of women on SPN who died purely as a plot device, and that's pretty shitty. But Sarah, at the end of S8, for sure. Jo and Ellen Harvelle. Anna. Okay, just bring all the ladies back. 

And for a character who didn't die but who I wish we had seen more of: Cassie. (Dean x Cassie is one of my favorite things.)

12: Who is your favorite angel?

Castiel!!

13: Who's your favorite archangel?

Lucifer. I love how complex Luci's motivations are, and how they can be both deeply twisted and sympathetic. 

14: What's your opinion on Wincest?

This is kind of hard to put into words, but I've run across a few others who seem to feel the same. I don't ship it as a healthy relationship, or true love, or destiny. But the idea that there is some serious unresolved tension there, the idea that there might have been more at some point (esp. pre-series/s1-3) - yeah, I totally get that. The brothers are so tied up in each other that it's nothing resembling healthy, but I suppose I kinda ship it as something dark and twisted and angsty. And when a fic not only respects that but plays on it? It's interesting. I guess I like it because I think there's a lot to explore when you look at the brothers' relationship through the lens of Wincest.

15: What's your opinion on Lisa? (and Ben, if you want)

Lisa is another character who the show didn't really do justice. But at the same time, the way that she fell flat and the reason she felt flat was because we were only seeing her through Dean's eyes. His perspective on her didn't regard her as a whole human being (another of his "applications for sainthood"), so we as an audience didn't get to see her like that either. I think Dean saw Lisa and Ben as representing things, rather than being people. So in a sense there's a lot of wasted potential, but from a narrative perspective the characterizations of Lisa and Ben tell us a TON about Dean.
