[đ] - Yeah, I like angsty pasts. They are fun to write and are great for giving a character a motive. This story give Kamet the drive to fight the undead. She knows how dangerous they are and witnessed the staunch faith of her father destroy her family in a way. There is some resentment there, even if she remembers her mother never hating him for his beliefs.

[đ] - I usually play a Khajiit because I love those catfolk and all the lore we got for them in ESO was so good. Their pantheon is fascinating. But I decided I wanted to do something new this time and the Redguard culture is another one I always liked. I remembered doing the Ashâabah questline in ESO and thought theyâd be a great group to go off of and gives Kamet a good reason to be in Skyrim. So yeah, incorperating lore is always a good.
@muselexum said:( I love this! It's such a thorough backstory. Just wondering, do you play according to your character? ex. not joining certain groups, or not using certain weapons or magic )
[đ] - I try to play in character but I also find it a little harder to properly roleplay in Skyrim. The whole being Dragonborn thing does take away a lot of your roleplay agency, especially with how urgent it becomes. I liked Oblivionâs deal better, with your character being just some random person who gets dragged into some shit. But, the Redguards actually have a part of their culture that is perfect for tying them to the Thuâum and the way of the voice. Their Sword Singers and the Shehai, the magical swords they were once able to summon.
As both the Thuâum and Shehai are tied to ones voice I imagine Kamet would see the potential in the Thuâum to help her people find out how to summon their Shehai again, so that gives her a reason to seek out the Greybeards and be okay with being Dragonborn.
As for other questlines, I have some I will stay away from. I wonât be doing the civil war stuff because Kamet isnât interested in Skyrim politics. And not doing the Thieves Guild and Darkbrotherhood stuff. She is too honourable for them.Â
I might have her become Thane of all the holds though because I feel like sheâd want to get as many allies as possible to help fight the undead. There is actually a Creation Club questline that unleashes a zombie horde on Skyrim so that fits. Sheâll definitely be doing the Dawnguard stuff and working with the Vigilants of Stendarr when she can.
With her abilities; she does use magic but mostly does Alteration and Restoration. I have her learning necromatic spells to signify sheâs learning them in order to fight them better but generally wonât use them unless she has to. She uses one handed and two handed swords and a crossbow. Makes all her own armour and enchants her stuff to protect against the undead. So yeah, definitely stick to certain roleplay abilities.
