I dragged Sid to a fly-in and WWII encampment at McNary Field, near my house. It is a fundraiser for restoring a B-17. About 10 minutes after we got there, the owner of this airplane noticed my #MultnomahClogs !! I knew they were popular around Portland during WWII, but I didn’t know they were popular at Boeing amongst the parts ladies, which she informed me of! Her mother told her stories of flying when she was young, and because of that she became a pilot later in life. Her airplane dates to 1945 and could be used to transport an injured person. Unfortunately, I neglected to get a photo of her! If you’re going to be in the Salem area, it’s going on Saturday August 4th, too!
