General Opinion: Considering what has occurred in canon, it’s pretty unlikely that they’d ever get together, in general. ^^; In canon, Oichi is extremely in love with and devoted to Nagamasa, to the point that (in Oichi’s normal route in SB4) she ties him up so that he doesn’t have to risk being killed in battle. Meanwhile, Katsuie is very jealous and possessive, to the point that, in Oichi’s drama route, he kills someone whom Oichi loves (Nagamasa) so that he can have her to himself. This causes her to then go insane and kill Katsuie. Heck, even in the past, Kaioh was willing to kill Nobunaga (Oichi’s older brother) so that he could become king and have Oichi to himself. So it seems pretty clear that Katsuie doesn’t care about (or at least never considers) how Oichi would feel about him killing her family members / loved ones. Also, it’s implied that Katsuie isn’t actually in love with Oichi and is just obsessed with her—–in Katsuie’s anime route, he kills Oichi so that he can try to become king again, which shows that he values even vague / unrealized ambitions more than his ‘love’ for her.
However, in history, Katsuie and Oichi were married for about a year, after Nagamasa died. So I’ve always been interested in what would happen if the two of them were somehow together after Nagamasa’s death. In my own opinion, I feel like it’d be difficult for both of them. ^^; Oichi would go mad with grief after Nagamasa’s death, making her a danger to herself and others. And even if Katsuie was being his best self and was genuinely trying to help Oichi and care for her, there’s no guarantee that he would remain unharmed. Katsuie could do or say the wrong thing, and he’d be at risk of taking quite a beating from the Dark Hands, like Kakunoshin from the Bloody Angel manga. Not to mention that Katsuie probably wouldn’t be his best self, and could end up trying to pressure Oichi into marrying him / reciprocating his feelings…even when she wouldn’t be in the right mental state in which to do so…and even while Katsuie would already be struggling to deal with his own problems. ^^; So, yeah—– in general, I could see it being an angsty and dangerous sort of hurt / comfort situation for these two. ;u;
As for the relationship between my Katsuie and your Oichi, it’s probably the brightest and happiest form of this ship. ^^ Since (by the time of future verse) Oichi appears sane and has returned Katsuie’s feelings, and Future!Katsuie is pretty happy and is in a better frame of mind than Default!Katsuie. And your Oichi also seems pretty happy. ^^ Katsuie’s jealous and possessive tendencies have probably only subsided a little bit as he’s grown older, but somehow it doesn’t seem to be causing a huge problem in their relationship. Overall, they both seem really happy ! ^^
