Münchhausen oder Sich selber am eigenen Schopf aus dem Parkplatz Sumpf ziehen (To pull onesself up by one's own bootstraps)
!!Warning post!!
I didn’t want to make this post. But after what’s happened — and how it all ended — I feel I have a responsibility to warn others, especially disabled folks and those who struggle with mental health.
This is about a user here named honig-dachs.
In a Discord server that honig-dachs owned, I confided in them, another person, and shortkinglogan that I have a disability called Munchhausen Syndrome, which can cause me to lie sometimes. It was one of the hardest things I’ve ever admitted, and I did it to be honest and take accountability for things I had done wrong.
The others felt betrayed. I understood that. I took responsibility. I recorded a video where I broke down crying and apologizing — not for pity, but to show how deeply sorry I was and how seriously I take the harm I caused.
What happened next completely broke me.
honig-dachs and another person made a private group chat, invited shortkinglogan, and mocked my apology video in it. They made fun of my breakdown. Of my disability. Of my pain.
Shortkinglogan, to their credit, did not partake. They eventually confessed to me what was happening in that group chat. That’s how I found out. That’s how I learned people I trusted turned my vulnerability into entertainment.
Weeks before any of this happened, I had commissioned honig-dachs for a drawing. I paid them in good faith. Yesterday, they finally sent it — but it was clearly rushed, nowhere near their usual standard. And then they blocked me on every platform and deleted the Discord server entirely. No explanation. No closure. Just silence and erasure. I then wrote them an email confronting them about their actions and calling them out for it, to which they painted themselves the victim and started calling me insane in a chat with shortkinglogan.
If you are disabled, neurodivergent, chronically ill, or mentally ill — please be careful who you trust online. People like honig-dachs know how to mask cruelty with “concern.” They know how to publicly perform acceptance and privately spread ridicule.
This experience has left me shaken, hurt, and done protecting people who mock those of us who are already fighting battles they’ll never understand.
Feel free to reblog. People who abuse trust, make fun of disabilities, and exploit vulnerability should not be protected by silence. And i will use my voice!

The winter was then so uncommonly severe all over Europe, that ever since the sun seems to be frostbitten.

My OPINION On #BB19 #RavenExposedParty
Since I have kinda a unique perspective, I thought I'd share my *OPINION* on #RavenExposedParty -
I had a Munchhausen Mommy growing up. So there are a few things I may be able to give some insight on.
1) Her identity is being 'sick'. That's all she has known her whole life and it's really hard to figure out who you are if that's taken away.
2) Joining the con is easier than realizing you're a victim of it. Look at it like this, for her to stand up and say "HEY! THIS IS BULLSHIT! I'M NOT SICK! THEY JUST WANT YOUR MONEY!" She first has to admit her own mother made her believe she was sick and put her at risk. That's hard fact to face.
3) It's a myth that the parents only make perfectly healthy kids sick. Many have health problems that are just made worse. I fall in that category. Due to trauma at birth, I had oxygen deprivation that caused brain damage and I was diagnosed with an autoimmune disorder around age thirteen. It's much easier to get a developmentally delayed teenager with arthritis to believe she's dying than a health one. It's entirely possible that Raven has Irritable bowel syndrome or food allergies and she has been lead to believe that meant she had gastroparesis. I can tell you that it's REALLY hard to believe someone when they suggest that maybe you are not really as sick as your parents say you are. When I was about ten years old, I got really upset when a teacher's aide told me that I was using my dyslexia as an excuse. But in reality, I had been raised to believe that I had a severe intellectual disability. I was eleven or twelve years old when I happen to look over some test results the school had conducted and realized that I had a completely 'normal' I.Q. and I now know that my dyslexia was likely inherited since both of my sons have it and my father felt he likely had it after learning about it when I was diagnosed. It's completely possible that I had no long term effects from the oxygen deprivation.
4) Munchausen By Proxy and Narcissistic Parenting go hand in hand. Not all Narcissistic Parents have Munchausen By Proxy . But all Munchausen By Proxy parents share similarities with Narcissistic Parents. Narcissistic Parents usually have one child that is the preferred 'Golden Child' and another that is the hated 'Scapegoat'. Raven is likely the preferred 'Golden Child'. She shares the same 'rare' illness with her mother. Her brother is likely the 'Scapegoat'. He has a criminal record and she has often said negative things about him. Him getting diagnosed with the same 'illness' as mamma will likely win him favor with her. For Raven, being 'sick' has been a survival strategy. Being 'sick' meant she was the 'favored child'. It sounds fucked up as an adult, but you have to look at it as a choice she subconsciously made as a kid. The consequences of NOT being the favored child are to frighten. This is likely why she is always having to 'one up' her illness. She HAS TO be THE SICKEST to make sure she stays 'special'. I was an adult, married and had two kids before I really understood all of this. It's really hard to see the full picture when you have been raised with this being your 'normal'.
The only thing I'd really have to defend her on is her diet. That cause I have a super strict one that I NEVER follow. I look at it like this: I gave up daily caffeine, smoking, drinking and drugs (Both recreational and prescription). I'm NOT giving up sugar and carbohydrates. Allow me to take a minute to brag about what a badass I am: I have three damaged disks in my back. One in between my shoulder blades and two at the base of my spine. I was diagnosed with Degenerative Disc Disease in 2004 but had been showing symptoms since around 1995. In 2003 my sacrum was injured but that wasn't discovered until 2016. ( The symptoms of Degenerative Disc Disease helped mask the injury) I haven't taken anything stronger that over the counter Aleve for pain since around 2006. So if I want to have a Dr Pepper and pumpkin shaped Reese's Peanut Butter Cups for breakfast (Like I did today) I think I've earned that shit.
* Y'all know that this is just my opinion based off of my own life experience, right? I don't know this girl or her family.
