Imagine Logan falling down and it sounds like:
Free reign to say Jk Rowling is a predator who shared an upskirt picture of a trans woman and said she shouldn't have worn a skirt if she didn't want to be sexually harassed, enjoys the company of open child predators, and thinks Lolita is a tragic romance story. She is a danger to women and children.
A rare picture of Osamu Tezuka without his beret.
Photo date is unknown.
Another picture of Osamu Tezuka without his beret; this photo is from 1971, taken at the wedding of Hiroshi Motomiya (a manga artist having had manga published in Weekly Shonen Jump and Weekly Young Jump) and Jun Morita.
Tezuka was reportedly late to the wedding (he was known for being late to weddings).
Tezuka can be seen at the top-right of the first page.

Sam Reid is “perfect” as Lestat (Note the quotation marks!)
Sam Reid is “perfect” as Lestat (Note the quotation marks!)
When I say that the writing prevents Sam Reid from being the perfect Lestat, don’t nod your head and say “Yeah, he is the perfect Lestat, just not the situations they put him in.” NO, I mean ALLLLLL the writing. Allow me to write a list of examples for fans PRETENDING to have read the books!
Lestat would never, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, (I don’t know how to even establish enough “evers”). He would NEVER, EVER even PRETEND to side with “The Great conversation.” Lestat says, repeatedly, in the novels that if there was a war between vampires and mortals that he would side with mortals. His main motivation in being a rock star was to tell his story that he had kept hidden for so long (something the show badly misunderstood) and to save Louis from the wrath of the vampires who would want to kill him for the story he told in Interview with the vampire.
Lestat would never mock someone for wanting to feed on evil doers, nor would he play along with feeding randomly. In the novels he only fed on murderers who feel no remorse. Retroactively even his kills in Interview with The vampire were confirmed as this. Such as the two prostitutes- they were actually poisoning their johns and robbing them.
Lestat doesn’t swear or use graphic sexual language. In the novels he wouldn’t even say penis. He called it “The Organ.” He was too polite. The first sexual acts ever described in the books (besides the vague abuse of the twins) was in Tale of the Body Thief while Lestat is in the mortal body.
No Anne Rice vampire smokes. The only people described as smokers in the novel were Daniel (pre-vampire) and Lestat’s rock band mates who were apparently smoking pot. Other than that, no one is described as smoking. Especially once they become a vampire. The vampires don’t eat, smoke, or urinate. They burn all the components of the blood and like with What we do in the Shadows and Let the Right one In, their bodies can’t process normal food. They’re forced to vomit it up. This dates back to Dracula by Bram Stoker. Dracula says the famous “I never drink wine” but before then it is “I do not sup.” and “I do not smoke.” (which was recycled for Love at First Bite with “I do not smoke …sh-t.”) They don’t even even have sex in the books, male vampire penises don’t move. The intimacy is replaced with blood and blood exchange and yes, they are all pan-romantic.
Lestat never had a stutter in the book. I’m not sure why they added that other than drama for an anachronistic witch burning scene because apparently just seeing a place where witches used to be burnt wouldn’t be traumatic enough!???
Lestat didn’t whine or call himself a failure, ever. He refused to be defeated by circumstance. He would never call his life “failures.” He also wouldn’t have trouble standing up to someone he disagrees with even if they are loved ones. Defiance and rebellion are his nature, and that includes defying sorrow. His songs were not sad, they were triumphant and hopeful. Not whiny!
Lestat would not have a panic attack at just Louis learning something about his past. The only time Lestat appears to have a panic attack in the books is when he accidentally bashes the skull of David Talbot’s body when he realizes the body is inhabited by Raglan James.
Lestat never even considered making his band into vampires.
The concert was for mortals, not other vampires, except the few he loved like Louis, Marius, and Gabrielle, in the hope that they would come together. He was lonely.
Sam Reid IS a great actor. He has the look. He has the singing voice. He has the french accent. He might even BE The vampire Lestat in disguise. I’m not at liberty to confirm or deny that BUT because of the writing, I cannot honestly say that was even Lestat’s personality in the show and it’s grossly inaccurate to pretend the show’s Lestat got his personality right.
He probably would think “Long Face” sucks so point for that.

Japanese author and social media man, Kyota Ko, released a couple short-form videos about Osamu Tezuka, in which he discusses (with a lot of humor) Tezuka's penchant for random cravings, constantly missing deadlines while authoring 7 to 8 manga series among different publishers at the same time, and having several editors from different publishers in his office at the same time.
