frank going down on mel and coming in his pants is this anything
Alright everybody. I finally listened to The Jax Song, and I have a couple theories as to who Thomas really is.
I think it's safe to say that Thomas is a Jax fan boy. Perhaps he's a fan boy in the real world, and made his way into the Circus. The song talks about Jax being at school when he meets Thomas, which we see in episode 5. Perhaps we would've seen Thomas himself if the adventure hadn't been skipped. Funnily enough, Jax is the one who wants to skip it most. Not to mention that Thomas says that there was a test the day he met Jax, which there was. A test in English.
So what does this have to do with Thomas's identity? Well, given the evidence that we have, I think there are two likely candidates for who Thomas is in real life.
One. Thomas is actually the Crazy Frog, who somehow entered into the Circus to meet Jax.
There are a couple of compelling reasons that this might be the case. Firstly, Just listen to his voice. It's quite similiar to the titular Crazy Frog, isn't it? But how would he have gotten into the Circus? Well, I think one possibility is that he simply put on one of the headsets, like Pomni did. After all, he was committed to a mental asylum but escaped, something that was verified on X back when it was still Twitter. Sadly, I could not find the screenshot of this conversation, but I did find something else intriguing in my search.
It turns out that Crazy Frog died some time ago, but he then informed the popular that he had been resurrected after 3 days. Perhaps he was resurrected in the Circus, as there have been many theories that TADC takes place in some kind of afterlife or purgatory. Here, he can finally meet his hero, and even looks like him. After all, Jax WAS friends with a frog once, right?
Two. Thomas is actually an NPC, who then became who we now know as Evil Jax.
Let's think, shall we? Who is this rando that just showed up in the Circus to befriend Jax? We don't know if new players can even spawn during adventures, but we saw what the day was like before the crew entered the High School adventure, and Thomas was nowhere to be seen. There was no indicator that a new player had entered at all that day. Then, Jax threatens to blackmail Gangle unless she skips the high-school adventure. As such, there was no need for Thomas to appear, which is why he was used later with a different appearance.
But what if the adventure had gone on as planned? Then Thomas would've shown up, just like he did in the song. Wouldn't it make sense that an anime would turn into something resembling the story in said song? After all, it was Gangle's adventure, and she seems like she would be in support of some good ol' fashioned Yaoi with a recolor O.C., right?
Instead, the adventure skipped in Jax's favor, and after a time, we got to the softball game. Who's the opposing team? The Evil Big Tops, consisting of the Big Top's evil alter-egos, who are themselves, a jab at recolor O.C.s.
But how, you ask, could Evil Jax possibly be Thomas? There's an overwhelming amount of evidence, surprisingly. Firstly, Gooseworx themselves posted, quote: "Evil Jax watching Thomas replace him in old family photos." This is a clear reference to Back to the Future, where Marty McFly has to help his past mom and dad get together in order to ensure his very existence. When he starts running out of time, he begins to disappear from his family photos, leaving only a blank space. There was obviously no one to replace him. But this is where the stories differ. Evil Jax DOES have someone replacing him. That someone being Thomas. This suggests, from the words of the TADC God themselves, that Evil Jax and Thomas are, in fact, the same entity, from different timelines.
But, why then, you may ask, does Thomas look so incredibly different from Evil Jax? The answer is quite simple, really. Evil Jax in the canon timeline is confirmed, once again, by Gooseworx themselves, to be bald. We don't know if this is natural or something that happened because of a certain event, comparable to Jax somehow losing his tail before the show takes place. Perhaps Evil Jax is simply hairless, or maybe he shaved himself deliberately. Maybe the day the gang played softball together was hot, and he didn't want to overheat. Or. Perhaps. It was done for a different reason.
After all, there's nothing to suggest that the softball adventure wouldn't have happened if the high-school adventure had gone ahead. If Thomas WAS in that adventure and all those events transcribed in the song took place, it would make sense that Jax moving away wouldn't matter at all. This NPC has lived half a lifetime without him, only for both rabbits to be snapped into the softball adventure by Caine. We ARE shown that NPCs from the other lightning rounds can show up, as proven by Disappearing Guy carrying over from the Bartender/noir adventure.
Back to Thomas. How awkward must it have felt to see his crush once again after all that happened between them? Would he have wanted to be recognized? He claims in the song that his defining feature is his red coloring and spiky hair. Would he, perhaps, want to get rid of these traits, so Jax wouldn't pick up on who he actually was? A change of clothes might be nice as well, or maybe that part was done by Caine, who knows.
The craziest piece of evidence for this point is that in this final picture, a red Rabbitoid has been spotted in the Circus wilds. He is shown to have the same outfit and eye colors as Evil Jax but seems to have bright red fur instead of none. After all, hair that's shaved can't stay away forever...
In the end, it's debatable if Jax recognizes Thomas or not. Either way, he shows extreme animosity towards him during the game, and even afterward. If he doesn't recognize him, he could very well possibly just dislike him intensely, especially for his compliments on his maid dress, which he was forced to wear. A crush admiring him from afar? Possibly.
If he DID recognize Thomas. He might harbor some resentment towards him for making him feel complicated emotions. Jax is known to take out his frustrations on others, so it would only make sense that he would do so with Thomas. He may not have had feelings for him, but he would surely blame him for making him feel awkward and uncomfortable with his attraction towards him. This would also give additional context towards Jax, claiming that he "wants him dead." He may literally want Thomas to die, and he may also, metaphorically, what what he represents to die. He wants those awkward feelings gone.
In the end, it doesn't really matter if Thomas is a person in the real world, or an NPC. What matters is what happened in the titular song. Did Jax ever actually think that Thomas was cool, or a friend? If he did, he's been known to push away those he's cared for. Thomas has been condemned to the same fate as all of Jax's other previous friends.
Or, perhaps, Jax never considered Thomas a real friend. He could very well have used him to enjoy himself, and discarded him without a second thought after the fact, NPC or no. In reality, Thomas himself may have just been blinded to the truth by his worship of Jax. After all, he cared enough to make an entire song about the relationship he thinks they had.
Thank you for reading my absolutely 20000% serious theory about this most important topic. I hope you enjoyed, and see my opinions as fact. If you don't, well, I feel sorry for your brain. What do YOU guys think happened, then? And what lives did the other Curcis members lead while the events of the song took place? LET ME KNOW DOWN BELOW, BY PENSLTY OF DESTH!
I just heard the Jax Song today and watched the fan animations. I couldn't resist posting this now. I thought about saving it for April Fool's day, but I couldn't wait. I apologize. XP
This took a freaking hour. What am I doing with my life...

Look, I’m not saying Caliga is so insanely adorable that people should feel compelled to support her ongoing treatment/preparation for surgery, but look at that little face and mad scientist hair 🥺
Check out Caliga’s Ko-fi page for commission details, updates, and more! We’re SUPER happy and relieved to see Cali eating her hay again! For anyone unaware, Cali stopped eating her hay last week, and that’s a BIG danger-sign in rabbits. She’s been on Critical Care for a week now, alongside 5 different medications, but is still somehow tolerating us fussing over her <3 We have an appointment with the Head Vet/Snr Exotics Surgeon this Friday (Mar 31st) to chat about Cali’s surgery options. Follow us on Ko-Fi for more regular updates about Caliga’s journey!
