I've signed up for a week-long, in-person poetry workshop next month. This is very exiciting, and a newish poet pal is planning to sign up, too
in an unrelated matter, I've never written anything in my life, I should be more financially responsible, do I really want to be in the city when it's still in its football era, I couldn't possibly put together a package of work for workshopping before the materials deadline next week, and I really do need to spend 5-10 business days completely decluttering deep cleaning reorganizing decorating my apartment from top to bottom

spouse and I have driven to the Eastside twice in the past two weeks to see shows at the same music venue and when we went two weeks ago we discovered there's a cozy little Italian place across the street from the venue where you can get a 10" pizza, a generous pasta dish, and a beer for $30 before tip (you'd have a hard time getting the same amount of food for less than $40-$50 in the neighborhood we live in). so ofc we ate there again last night and not only was it just as delicious as the first time, the folks at the restaurant remembered us and said it was great to see us again. heart touched
