What inspired the EVOO incident? Specifically, where did you get the idea for Clovis to full on run away to another region?

(( Hmm, well, we wanted evoo to be a thing and it was really obvious that it wasn’t going to happen without a lot of drama oops;;  And….the thing is, Kalos has a whole lot of nothing.  Clovis wouldn’t really find much to distract him from the matter at hand, he needs something to do…but which other region is full of things to do?

Unova.  Unova is what he knows, what he’s familiar with….it’s full of places he wants to revisit, things he never got to do…it’s his comfort zone, in a sense.  So I guess it’s less that ‘I got the idea’ and more that ‘Kalos is kind of boring but Unova has a lot of things to do, so Clovis wanted to go there’!  ))

( do you see parts of yourself in clovis and natsuki? if so, has it influenced how you play them/their personalities/their backstories? )

(( Ahaha;; yes, yes I do.  I’d say that Clovis is like the part of me that gets friendly and excitable when around people I’m good friends with, and Natsuki is like the very quiet and stoic part of me that I usually show to people irl.  Of course, there’s a lot more to it than that, but…just for starters.

As for how that’s influenced them, hmm…well, I’d say that it’s influenced how they socialize.  They both prefer to have small groups of really really good friends, but Clovis also likes to have lots of other friends he can just hang out with, like me.  Natsuki is more closed-off, though.  Either way, they’re careful about how they choose their friends and who they get close to.

Clovis having a Lucario has also been something from my end, as well.  I like Lucarios - like a lot - and wanted Clovis to have one, so I gave him one.  Little did I know Ka would become rather…prominent, lmao;;;;

Additionally, Clovis’ parents (and his relationship with them) are modeled after my own parents, in a way.  I haven’t really given much thought to Natsuki’s parents yet, but I imagine they’ll also be modeled after my parents in some fashion, haha;;  I have no other references, after all…

So where did Natsuki come from and why did you decide to introduce him now?

(( Come from?  If you mean home region, he's from Sinnoh.  If you mean where he was originally from, I made him for a Persona forum a friend asked me to join before PAC became a thing!

As for why I decided to introduce him now, I was encouraged to do so by other PACers who had taken a surprising shining to him!  ...Plus, Clovis was out of the region, so I kinda wanted to have a way to interact with muses in Kalos, still.  I mean, great job I'm doing with that >u>;;;;;;; ))

(( Because I wanted a good reason for why Clovis is as nice and willing to run to peoples’ aid as he is.  After I realized his sense of justice and convictions regarding helping people were as strong as they are, I knew I couldn’t just explain it away as ‘being a part of his personality’. ))

What made you decide to include Natsuki in Clovis' backstory? How much does the PAC version of him differ from his other iteration(s?)?

(( I just really liked Natsuki, and wanted to do SOMETHING with him.  His original canon was Persona, but in the forum I made him for, he…didn’t really have much of an impact.  The forum had already started its story and since I came in halfway through, it was…relatively hard for me to get him involved.  So, when I inevitably hopped over to PAC and finally got to thinking about Clovis’ backstory, I said: I’ll make Natsuki an old friend of his, why not?

To be honest, I’m a big fan of character cameos =u=;; Celosia, my AC:NL character is Clovis’ second ex, for example.

The biggest thing that makes Persona!Natsuki different from PAC!Natsuki is the fact that he, of course, doesn’t have any obligations to risk his life because it’s ‘what’s right’.  The characters in PAC are also loads more friendly, so I’m hoping that he’ll actually be able to get out of his shell this time! uvu  Natsuki is also a lot more in control of himself and not as prone to blushing in PAC, due to the fact that he’s taken on contests uvu  And then in Persona, he was never physically bullied as a kid, so while Persona!Natsuki, ironically, doesn’t know how to fight a person, PAC!Natsuki does. There are bound to be more differences but I think I need to explore Natsuki’s iteration in PAC before I can find any more @u@ ))

What are some major events where Clovismuse has outright taken control and done things that you never planned/expected him to do?

(( Becoming friends with Cairo and Vee, reacting the way he did when Vee left, running off to Juane Plaza, popping into Terminus Cave, slowly falling in love with Xavier, becoming best friends with Ryn, getting into a fight with Xavier....

I'm sure there's more, but I can't think of them atm;; ))

What were you thinking about when you made Clovis' parents?

(( My parents.

I took certain aspects of my parents' personalities, and changed them around.  Clovis' mother became the hard-working, stern, detached, pushy, well-intentioned working mom who brings home the bacon, and Clovis' dad became the relaxed, accepting, helpful yet hands-off father who is very close to his son.

Basically, Clovis sees his parents the way I used to.  His mother is only ever mean to him, and his father is a paragon.  This isn't true at all, though....his mom has her merits, of course, and she only means well for her son.  His father, on the other hand, isn't the perfect man Clovis thinks he is.  He's made mistakes in his life, too.

My own parents are the only example of, well, parents that I have, so...why not pull from them, I suppose? ))

How and when did Clovis!Muse break away from your internal control?

(( I'm not entirely sure I ever had much control over Clovis.  If I had to say what the tipping point was, though, when he started becoming his own entity....I'd say it'd be when Vee ran off.  I didn't know Clovis would react the way he did; I knew he'd get angry and violent, in an attempt to reject reality, but I didn't know the effects would be as long-lasting as they are.  

The last time I pushed him to do anything was Terminus cave, wherein I wanted to interact with Xavier on a whim and then made Clovis happen to look at the dash at that moment. ))
