muppet aw2 but saga and casey are the sole humans until the story starts affecting casey and then hes a muppet
Great idea! Hope you don't mind a little drabble for that scenario!
Casey felt like he had been sucked into another dimension once they entered Bright Falls. Bright indeed, was the myriad of colours of the residents of the little town. Ranging from pink colours, all the way to outrageous blues and greens and purple. There was no way around the elephant in the room, or rather the large, grey plush body of one agent Nightingale on the table: Bright Falls was a muppet town. The crime scene, a sick and twisted version of a forbidden and now destroyed Muppet Show episode. Anderson had initially held her laughter, but he could see she was amused. She had much more trouble than him at keeping a straight face when the green and purple deputies tried to brief them on the ritual murders.
“Be careful with that frown, Casey, else that look will be on your face forever as a muppet,” Anderson jokes.
Casey mentally rolls his eyes. “Not a chance, Anderson.”

At this point, Casey shouldn’t be surprised to find out that the missing writer they’d been looking for, would turn out to be a muppet too. A very green, wet and sad muppet at that. Just looking at him, almost makes Casey forget about the gruesome murders and the horrors they found themselves in.

Things change for the worse when the lodge gets attacked by cloaked and masked, furry muppets. The threat is real, even if it feels like the agent’s been thrown in a silly parody of reality. Casey chases after the furry Cultists but in the process, gets injured. For a brief moment, a dark mist surrounds him and a thousand googly eyes stare back at Casey and then the lights go out for the agent.

Almost out of breath, Saga reaches the morgue, looking for her partner. The funny side of the colourful puppets could only last for so long. Saga wanted to return home, to her husband and kid. She wanted Casey to be safe too. She can hear him shoot at an enemy. She follows the noise and the body. “Hold your fire. I’m coming in!” Her case partner had barricaded himself inside. She expected him to be injured but she didn’t expect this.
