the lack of reports about the vagabond had been worrying to say the least. despite his ( kind of ) friendship with the man, one of the biggest ways chris keeps up with him is through the ( many ) police reports. no crimes from the man and chris never seeing him around was a rare occurrence, one that the entire lspd had noticed. most of them were happy about it, glad that one of the biggest criminals in los santos was gone, but of course chris had been worried.
the missing man had been pushed somewhat to the back of his head for the last couple of days, work somehow still being busy without the vagabond. it’s not until rumors of the man being kidnapped pop up that chris starts to take things more seriously, and once the other fakes seem to confirm that rumor chris’ work goes into overdrive. no stone unturned, no gang unquestioned. anyone that had any reason to be against the vagabond became a suspect. the rest of the police department found his search to be rather pointless, but it kept him busy and out of trouble so no one tried to stop him.
just when chris was running out of options he got an anonymous tip, simply an address and ‘ V A G A B O N D ' in big letters. it seemed suspiciously helpful, but chris couldn’t help himself. he had to check it out. and so he found himself deep inside some gang’s base, gun out but deciding stealth is the best way to go about this. if he saw anyone, he’d shoot, but for now the place seemed empty, eerily silent. he hadn’t expected a party, but he hadn’t expected it to be so easy either. “ mr vagabond? “ it’s half whispered, chris trying his best to not make much noise while also making enough noise to get the mans attention if he was there. “ mr vagabond, it’s chris, are you in here? “
