It was rare that anyone followed her undetected. Her eyes, ears, and nose held an animal-like keenness, which was why she felt so amused when she finally reached her rented apartment and looked out the window (by chance, too) and saw him. Now this was a break in routine. An anomaly that made a normally dreary eternity exciting. Here was a skilled hunter, something not quite human.
So, because she was so pleased with this discovery of something new, she blew him a kiss. Her brown eyes glistened like freshly polished bronze and the moonlight overhead made her skin glow the same color white as his mask.
“That’s a beautiful knife you have,” she called. “I do hope you weren’t planning on using it on me, though. I just had the carpets cleaned.”
The pale regina chuckled, blood red lips quirking upward. She was an angel looking down upon a corrupt world. Nothing could hurt her, at least not permanently, and she liked to use her prowess to her advantage. The honorably depraved, those who didn’t hide behind smiling faces and candied words, secretly fascinated her; she liked to get close enough to satiate her curiosity.
“Does my hunter have a name?”

LMFAO. This is gold omg.
Listen - the real gold would be wrestling Michael into it.

Laurie stared at her brother it seemed he only over did it when he realized she was in the trial. She could have been imagining things but, with their past she wouldn’t put it past them. It was true she was tired of running from her- only family. Most of her life she had been running but it was a conversation that she recently had with someone else. One that hit a little too close to home and left her feeling overly vulnerable. “Stalking me?” She questioned in a disapproving tone her eyes moving to the side looking at the lever for the door. The tilt of his head was something she had learned could mean a few different things. But, with how he did it slowly she knew he was curious. Laurie’s long fingers curled on the lever finishing the power up on the gate.
From the corner of her eyes she could see him walking towards her. Laurie hadn’t opened the gate for herself she did it for the others. Figuring she could buy them all enough time so they could at least make it across before bleeding out. Letting go of the lever she stepped away from the gate and closer to Michael. Staring up at him she could barely make his eyes out in the holes in the mask. It was much easier when Michael was chocking her for her to know that she was making eye contact with him.

The taunting was merely something Michael saw as a challenge; something that his victim would come to regret. It was nearly impossible to know exactly what the shape was feeling, given his expression was hidden behind a mask that held no emotion whatsoever. The only signs would be his stance. Anger didn’t seem to be presaent, his grip on the handle of his blade remaining the same as it was before. He stood still as a statue, his gaze focused on the shorter male in front of him. Had someone else been around to allow him off the hook, or had he managed to wiggle free on his own? Whatever the case, he surely had to be in a fair amount of pain. The hook was by no means thin. It was strong and sturdy and would pierce a decent sized hole in anyone’s flesh.
The familiar sound of a pallet dropping behind him grabbed his attention, Michael turning in place to check who was there. It was a girl who was now running in the opposite direction–probably to work on a generator. Repairing the machinery was the only means of escaping, but that was something Michael wanted to ensure didn’t happen. The girl would be someone he dealt with after. Right now, his focus was on the one who’d escaped. Turning back towards him, Michael swiftly approached with long, strong and swift strides and prepared to swing his knife.
In the distance, within the basement of a shed, was another male who went byQuentin hanging from a hook. He’d been there for some time now, his pleads going unheard from the underground. Surely he would bleed out within the next few minutes, and then there would only be three left to pick off. Depending on how things went now, perhaps there would only be two.
The situation, as Bill would say, was FUBAR. Unlikely as he was to admit it, he sort of wished the old man was with them on this trial-- something about his gruff and commanding presence made focusing a little less trying. Bill isn’t here, though, and the hook the Shape had thrown him on had pierced an ugly hole in his shoulder. A roughly handled bandage job keeps him from bleeding out--barely. Blood still seeps heavily through the fabric, lands across the ground when he shifts. It hurts like fucking hell. And still he’s got the nerve to stare at Michael Myers, full of vitriol.
Jake forces himself to find time in the moment to take inventory-- Quentin; hooked, Meg, on a generator, David, somewhere. Wasn’t this what David liked to do? Where was he to take the killer’s flack for him today? Didn’t Meg love running these assholes around? There isn’t really a worse feeling than being caught out in the open like this.
There’s something about the mask, ghost white, vacant of emotion that stirs his instinct for flight in particular. He thinks whatever is behind the mask must be dead in the eyes, too, because there’s only threatening silence in response to his taunts. There’s only ever silence with Michael, and something about it makes all the hair stand up on the back of his neck, like being brushed by a cold wind.
“Good luck finding me a new hook,” he continues, unwise as ever; “gonna have to guess which ones I didn’t break.” It’s a half-attempt to restore the galvanic determination that had allowed him to break free from the hook. Is he talking himself into the dirt? Maybe. The words don’t really help, anyway.
The rest of the group better at least be getting shit done while Mikey inevitably guts him. Come on, stay calm.
Well, better get a head start. He flinches instinctively as Michael suddenly lurches, taking long quick strides to close the distance. Flight kicks in, and Jake staggers backward, turns sharp on his heel and breaks into a sprint, turning the corner into Badham preschool. He’s not wholly optimistic he can lose Myers in the building, but if anything, he had a better chance. He slips into a nearby classroom, heartbeat rolling fast in his ears, presses his back into the wall, waits for the sound of steps. Two exits. Don'tbreathedon'tmove. You can do this.
‘I can hear you breathe...'
Gideon’s Meat Plant, the place ‘ The Pig ’ calls home. The realm in which the Entity placed her in. Her fingertips barely against the concrete walls as she walked through the empty building, her footstep being the only noise. No survivors were present, no trial was being held, yet she continued to scope the area out as if someone was here. If there was one thing she disliked most, it was intruding.
She liked her privacy, more than most. Ever since she became a part of these new games, she made it her own goal to not become emotionally attached to her surroundings, as she believes that was the source of her downfall. Even though making connections was pretty impossible in her line of work. Any being that came in contact with her was either none of her concern or a waste of flesh.
She felt her breathing become heavier in her mask, as well as drips of sweat down her neck. She always wore her mask, always during trials and a little while after. However, there are still times where she needs to take it off to cool down, or else the sweat gets to her. She slowly removed her guise, going from The Pig to just Amanda. Even if she believed someone was in her realm, she wasn’t too concerned showing herself. If it was truly a survivor who managed to sneak their way in, she would have no problem ‘removing the pest’ as it were. She had checked the majority of the top floor and all of the bottom, yet no sign of anyone else here. Is paranoia truly the cause, she thought.
That seemed to be the case until she finally stopped walking, letting any noise besides any she made to be heard more clearly. She could hear it...
“ I can hear you breathe. “ She announced.
