one thing i like about my hated character: Okay so like I don’t hate Matthias but I’m doing him anyways ‘cause of the main six he’s the one I’m most indifferent towards SO i’m a huge fan of how he spends most of the book unlearning all the discriminatory stuff he’s been taught

a quote or scene that haunts me: I’m not sure if haunts is the right word but I’m a huge fan of “no mourners, no funerals”. Scene wise though: Kaz’s flashback to Jordie dying and having to make his way back to Ketterdam, Like what the hell I love that scene, it goes such a long way in explaining Kaz’s character

a death that left me indifferent: pretty much all of them tbh, but if any of my kids die in Crooked Kingdom, I will riot

Okay but just the idea that no matter how bad the day was, or how horribly somebody got murdered, they still sleep cuddled up together in a ridiculous tangle every night because they're cold-blooded and need the heat because they're each the only ones who can stand each other's touch that's just what they do.

Like, one of them will be lying in bed pretending to read, and the other will finally trudge up the stairs dripping blood and glaring, and the first will just turn a page, eyes fixed on the book, and absently pat the bed in a "c'mhere" gesture.

Okay so just imagine if the murdernerds could transform from their object forms to human within an instant. Imagine Paige skipping into the kitchen, or the dining room, or walking through the hallway, and suddenly POOF, BAM, Tony jumps off the wall and tackles her to the ground. Or even better imagine Tony looking through books on the shelf, about to choose one to read, when he notices a SPIRAL BINDING POKING OUT AND PAIGE JUST MAKES THE BOOKSHELF EXPLODE WHEN SHE JUMPS OUT OF IT.
