Welcome to Battlegroup Skunk Works, a brand new series where I talk about the various formations you can use to play in Lancer Battlegroup!
In today's episode, let's focus on Murie flagship battlegroup, a reliable and accurate battlegroup usually fit for any situations!
Imagine, Muriel/MC:
You were sleeping in the palace. Muriel had refused to share the bed with you. Even the mere suggestion of it made his whole face light up a new shade of red. He had chosen the corner, and he seemed comfy enough.
Until, in the middle of the night, you heard him.
He was mumbling and shaking terribly, overcome with a vicious nightmare, the contents of which you could not be sure. With a gentle hand, you roased him from his sleep.
“Muriel? Are you alright?”
He shot back further into the corner, if that were at all possible, trying to put as much distance between himself and you as he could. Muriel looked at you, his green eyes pleading.
“Just a bad dream...” he couldn’t bear to look you in the eye now. He was far too embarrassed.
“Do you...” you paused, searching for some soft tone that wouldn’t send him careening into another room. “Want me to help?” You squeaked out.
“No... I just...” his face flushed red again. “Sometimes I dream and I can’t tell what’s real.” Finally, he met your eyes. “Are you real?”
“Yes.” You could feel the warm smile draped across your face.
“How do I know?”
“Touch me...” you stretched your hands out to him, hoping some sort of physical contact would lessen his nerves, although the opposite had already been proven. Maybe this once...
As if on cue, Muriel raised his hand to meet yours, palm to palm. His callouses tickled on the tender skin of your palm.
All too carefully, he laced his fingers between yours, eyes never moving from your hands transfixed in front of him.
“If this is a dream, don’t wake me up.” You sighed almost to quietly to hear, but Muriel heard you. Instead of pulling away like you thought he would, he squeezed your hand and pulled it slightly more toward himself.
He didn’t respond, but the parting of his lips into a smile was all he needed to say.
