Okay, but Murphamy/Linctavia/Jasper Antique Shop AU.
Bellamy starts out going to estate sales by himself, but he once came home with literally 90% of the stuff and from then on he has to have either Octavia or Murphy with him.
“I don’t need a babysitter, O.”
“You came home with 10 ashtrays! We can’t sell 10 ashtrays, Bellamy!”
They try to have Lincoln go with him, but he ended up talking to other people for a while and comes back and holy shit, Bellamy, how did you get 7 silk robes and 15 paper weights in five minutes?
And they try to have Jasper go, but he just encourages Bellamy to get even more.
“You had one job, Jasper! One job!”
“Technically, I did my job. I kept an eye on Bellamy. I just didn’t interfere with destiny.”
“It’s not destiny to have a ten foot sculpture of a dog!”
So Octavia goes with him and gives him a set amount of money and he keeps going back to ask her for more like a little kid at an arcade but she won’t budge.
And Murphy goes and is the same, but he wants some of the old weapons and cooking supplies so him and Bellamy agree to look the other way when Murphy can’t decide between 8 cake plates and Bellamy found just as many candle holders.
“I trusted you!”
“Well, that’s your own fault!”
And then they have trouble actually letting go of the things they buy.
Bellamy practically interviews everyone who tries to buy something.
“This isn’t how you run a business, Bell. We want them to buy stuff.”
“I want them to go to a good home.”
“It’s antiques, not puppies!”
And Bellamy has to read all of the books before he sells them.
And when they find a board game from the 50′s they all play it. Just to make sure it has all the pieces and is actually fun, of course.
And Octavia might have ended up throwing her game piece at the wall when she loses.
Jasper claims assault because it almost hits his head.
“You want to see assault?”
“I just did!”
They decide to not play any more games until Octavia can control her anger.
It’s a long time until they play games again.
