It wasn’t often that Harry wandered this far out on the grounds, unless Quidditch practice happened to be occurring. But it had been a nice day, and even the most sun-repulsed human needed to go out now and then.

He paused on the lake edge, looking out over the water, fingers toying with the hem of his sleeve. Even now, he wasn’t used to having clothes that fit.

He was entirely lost in thought, and thus didn’t notice anyone walking up to join him. Not much like him, but even he had his moments.

Peter Pettigrew was Sirius Black’s brother. Sirius loved him, and Peter loved Sirius. There was no “Black & Potter, with Lupin up the back putting out fires, and Pettigrew rolling around in chocolate whilst the others rolled their eyes.”

Sirius put himself on the line to protect the Potters and Peter, because by making him a secret Secret Keeper, it ensured he would be more protected than he would be otherwise (by the Order).

Peter was Sirius’ friend and it hurt when Peter betrayed him. He wasn’t just some guy; he was privy to their biggest secrets (Remus being a werewolf, the rest being Animagus). He was loved, he was cherished, and if it wasn’t for the War and the fact the Order was losing, then he would never have done it. Because he loved them–especially James and Sirius.

That’s why Sirius wanted to kill him. That’s why Remus wanted to kill him. It’s why they would have killed each other. It wasn’t just that he’d gotten James killed (Remus wasn’t running about after Bellatrix after Sirius died), it’s because it was Peter.

He was, and is, a Marauder.

Percival has never been one for public displays of affection - long believing that they should be a private affair - but given the circumstances of his absence, the reasons for it and the argument they’d had before he’d left to pursue the escaped dark wizard Grindelwald - he is actually overwhelmingly glad that his wife has found him and sought him out like this - rather than remaining angry and aggrieved. The slightly grim determination on his face melts, just slightly, as does the tension in his spine as he envelops Tina in his arms, holding her close and holding her tight.

HC + Slytherin

Slytherin

Pansy is thankful she was chosen to be in Slytherin, but regretful, too. It was the house she needed to get into in order to avoid her father’s wrath and the house in which all of her childhood friends, save one, were placed. Secretly, however, she wanted to be in Ravenclaw.

She often feels insecure, that she is not as cunning or as cut throat as her Slytherin peers. So, in trying to be HBC, she comes off more shrill or more hateful than she intends.

There is a part of her that needs and craves sweetness, gentleness and security, all of which are not easy to come by among the Slytherins.

She is anxiety ridden when traveling through the dungeon corridors alone or when she’s alone in the common room. She fears most Slytherin wizards older than her and those in her class when they are in groups larger than two. She poses as a tough girl and generally manages to convince people that she’s tougher than she is.

HC + blaise, draco, and Crabbe and Goyle

Blaise - Her head canon has them as childhood friends. She adores Blaise and finds herself drawn to his sexy bravado, hidden inner strength and good character. In all her interactions with Blaise(s) he has always acted as her protector / many times against Draco. He’s a sometimes lover, though the relationship is often short lived. Pansy is always thrilled when Blaise waltzes into her life. (This head canon is similar to the one she has for Theo, but Theo has quieter strength}

Draco - There is a great deal of history between these two. Her head canon has them as childhood friends and her first attempts at love. She gave him her first kiss. Friends, Lovers, Adoration/Hate. She has always loved Draco, but his explosive temper and narcissism can often get in the way. Regardless, she seeks to give him both the gentleness and tough love he needs when he needs it. She seeks any or all of the following from Draco: a snarky but truly deep friendship/relationship, friends with benefits, partners in crime, playful interactions.

Crabbe - She tries to avoid Crabbe. He is someone in her life who tormented her in the dungeon hallways and she does not like being alone with him. She’s frightened by his size and the way he looks at her.

Goyle - There’s something about Goyle that Pansy likes. Though he does partner with Crabbe behind Draco’s back to torment her, he’s more like a boy who tugs at a girl’s pigtails if he likes her. While he says really crappy things to her, she knows it’s because of his immaturity and he does intervene when Crabbe crosses the line.
