Kinds of Muscles

-- there are three kinds of muscles      -- cardiac      -- smooth / visceral      -- skeletal

Cardiac Muscle -- found only in the heart -- forms the wall of the heart -- contracts to circulate blood -- involuntary muscle

Smooth / Visceral Muscle -- can be called either name -- found in internal organs -- contracts to cause movement in these systems -- involuntary muscle

Skeletal Muscle -- attached to bone -- cause body movements -- voluntary muscle
