Some anatomy studies! Cause I‘m trying to hammer some actual basics into my brain.
May's sketch page! Not too many this month because I've been working a lot. Can't believe the month is already over ^^;
some of my strong girls
I’ve been in an artistic lull since finishing my sketchbook cover. I’ve tried coming up with personal projects but none of them have stuck because they were all ‘make-work’ ideas, and I want to be doing something with meaning and application.
In the mean time I’ve been struggling to find time to keep up with my art studies, but I had a good couple days where I was finally able to sit down, crack open the first page of my new sketchbook, and get back into it.
If anyone’s looking for a good book on anatomy that focuses more on the art than the science, Michael Hampton’s Figure Drawing: Design and Invention, is probably one of the best.
Miscellaneous batch here. Got some attempts to study muscular bodies and then a couple things from homework. We were given a packet of Loomis heads and had to recreate them. I...got a little bored and started adding to some of them. But like, the men had so many sharp lines and wrinkles, and then the women were like...bleh. Very 1940s.
....no idea if the professor will be cool with this ahaha.
Morgoth is a climby boi
Late night studies. Very serious studies.
Initially i was searching for nice poses for some acotar fanart, and ended up just drawing the reference pics, i guess it was training day !
Drawing is hard, and i'm just recovering from a 10y art block, so a "just studying references" day is as good as "real" drawing day, it's still better than nothing .
