FLIGHT REFLEX
//late night thoughts before I go to sleep, but I really love the Wraiths. This band of misfits who become a colorful, eccentric band of pilots that win your heart through shenanigans and trauma. //I love wraith squadron and 100% love the idea of Wraith Squadron being where Echo lands and Piggy being her wingmate. (He thinks quicker than her reflexes so he’s perfect for impulse control when Echo is just starting out in piloting again.)
//anyway, yeah just done quick thoughts before bed!
Sol System Lore: Guardians & the Subclasses
//Got to see the new Destiny 2 Ahamkara (Wish Dragon) Zine and now my brain is bubbling on one of Echo-17’s verses where she was stress-drinking during the Season of the Wish and a wish dragon talked with her disguised as one of her mentors/friends, Drifter.
And she laid out how small she felt as a young guardian, how other guardians her age were so much stronger and more skilled. she wished she was a bigger presence and wished that she could be more help, which led her to wishing that she was a wish dragon because if she was the wish dragon, the Vanguard wouldn’t need to worry about making monkey paw wishes with her.
//Riven the Wish Dragon listened and, intrigued and amused by this underestimated guardian, granted her wish. Echo-17 could now change and grant wishes, but now with the requirements and instincts to survive as a Wish Dragon. (Wish dragons feed on the energy made by granting wishes, the “space between what is and what is desired” )
//fast forward to Echo in the the Known Galaxy of Star Wars, and you have a whoooole Galaxy of people just dying to make their wishes come true!

Echo grinned at K47, the box of mystery drinks set between them. Drifter's Random House Special it was called and it had things form Drifter's bar, Eido's tonic shop, and a few extra things she'd nabbed from the Psions and Awoken.
She passed one to K47 and uncorked her own. "Alright, bottoms up!" she said brightly and downed the concoction. The exomind stopped and shuddered, shaking her head. "Eugh! Whew that one's tart!"
Echo shuddered and put the empty vial in the box. "You're turn! I—" she stopped and squinted at the box. "Hang on."
She leaned forward and squinted harder at the box. "I know there were words and not just shapes of this thing. Were there words and not just shapes on this thing?"

which of echo's brothers does she have the best relationship with, and which one is most difficult?
Out of all of Echo's brothers ( or the 4 Rogues from @red-flight), I think Echo has the best relationship with Wes and Wedge.
Wedge is the dad/responsible big brother figure that she goes for comfort and guidance. He's the one who's always had the answers or at least the confidence to muddle his way through things. His steadiness and composure helped her a lot in her adjustment from Vanguard Hunter to Rebel Fighter. He was one of the first ones to teach her the coping skills needed to deal with the stress of being in the Rebellion, and help her heal a little from the early trauma she experienced in the first years of her life. (He also may or may not be the one who realized how young she actually was experience wise, so there's that too.)
As the unspoken head their little "family", Wedge is the one she'll always defer to and will kick ass if he's disrespected
Meanwhile, Echo definitely sees Wes as the youngest middle brother who is always up for shenanigans. She gets all of her pranking skills from him and sometimes she's able to get one over on him! Though that usually is followed with a well-deserved assignment to kitchen duty. He's also the one she learned to cook from since Whisper was determined that Echo would learn some skills other than potato peeling in Kitchen Duty.
Tycho a reliable but really aloof. Depending on the verse, she and Tycho have a really rocky start. Being the legit youngest of the group next to Wes, Echo tries all the wrong ways to make friends with him and ends up duking it out with him early on. However, despite this, she still learns a lot from him and they maintain a distant-older-brother and younger-sister relationship.
The hardest relationship she has in the Rogues is with Hobbie. She is a peppy, high-energy, touchy-feely, bag of impulses and bad decisions. Hobbie is quiet, observant, prickly, doleful, and very much an "I like my space" kind of guy. So, naturally, these two rub each other the wrong way almost all the time.
It takes a long time for Hobbie and Echo to actually connect but they did manage to take a few first steps on Hoth when Echo revealed herself to be a pretty good space heater when using her Solar Light. But even with that, it still took a while for them to build trust and an honestly positive relationship.
Of all the pilots, Hobbie is the one who held the most rigid boundaries with her and she learned painfully early on that they were boundaries you did not cross. They also have very different affection languages so it also took a while before she was able to recognize his gestures for what they were.
Curiously enough, Hobbie and Whisper got along surprisingly well - well enough that Whisper set out to learn as much about him as she could in order to try and teach Echo how to better behave and interact with him both in and outside the unit.
//Thinking about what I got to watch in the Jedi: Survivor playthrough, and I really think Echo and Cal would get along. At least near the beginning of things. Both of them are young and kinda reckless in their own ways, but I can absolutely see Echo and Cal sharing a zest for life and taste for adventure. But I can also see her absolutely not passing for human or alien. Which is why she's out in the wilds! Roaming worlds and going wherever the wind takes her!
//Not exactly a stable life but it's safer than going head on with force users who can crush your ghost on the spot!
//I can just see her being like an 2P or competent companion NPC, the kind that you tell where to go and then they do like, assassins-creed-esque maneuvers on rocks and stealth and stuff. She could do like, door hacking, scouting, sniper watch and stuff, all depending on what level she's on.
//But yeah, I can see her being a fun combat companion (like in skyrim or something) and just doing the weird crap guardians do (like emoting or dancing to no music or something) as idle animations. Just silly little things like that.
