It took a lot to get him off his opponent, his blood thrumming throughout his body as adrenaline, rage and bloodlust fuelled his tight muscles. The human, Yu or whatever the announcer said, stood up once he was far enough away, a bloodied grin thrown in the wolf’s direction.
Fucking psycho. That’s rich coming from him but it’s true; usually his opponents are dragged off the floor — not walking and smiling as if they didn’t just get their asses beat.
“You left him standing.” Grey says as Hongjoong makes his way back to the group of wolves. “You slacking after your run in with Chan?”
Hongjoong scoffs, taking a drink of his beer. “I wasn’t going to fight him in the middle of a fucking suburb. Mikyoung would have called his pack and it would have been a disaster.” He rolls his shoulders, the arm Chan had broken the other day still stiff and uncomfortable but useable — mostly. "It also isn't a fair fight when the fucker broke my arm." He growls out.
Grey chuckles, shrugging his shoulders when the other Alpha glares at him. "Well, what are you going to do about it? You need to get her back, Hongjoong. I've checked out the other omegas and none of them take my fancy quite like that sister of yours." He licks his lips, ignoring the curling of Hongjoong's. "Has she been accepted into the pack? Has he claimed, mated her?" The younger wolf shakes his head, "good, then you can get her back."
Of course Grey isn't going to try and go up against Chan again, the warning given is enough for him to keep his distance. He's crazy but he likes his life.
"If I had the chance, I'd rip his fucking arm off for even daring to touch her. He's always touching her like he has some form of possession over her." His hand tightens around his glass so tight that it shatters, causing a mess everywhere. "He'll pay for taking her away. She'll pay for fucking leaving and embarrassing me like this."
Christian knows better than to make a phone call around a group of wolves, he knows better than to alert them to his presence — especially when one was intent on killing him earlier. He's had all sorts of fights but this one was different, this one was a whole lot of rage being taken out on one person.
Maybe he should take Chris' advice on getting in the ring with werewolves. Maybe.
He sends the message, leaning a little forward on his table to try and hear them better. It's not like they're keeping their voices down, people like them rarely do. They know that nobody would dare fuck with them after the display Hongjoong put on earlier.
"We need to do something that can't link back to us. All we have to do is distract him enough so that we can grab her and go." Hongjoong says, barely moving to allow the waitress access to clean up his mess.
"No. We need to teach him a lesson." The other guy said and Christian went back to his phone, updating Chris about what he's sure is a terribly planned murder and kidnapping.
Whatever happened between these guys and Chan must have really pissed them off and while usually Christian loves a good gossip — he's not particularly sure this is what he could consider fair justice.
If she left them, it was her choice to do so — leave it at that. Or that's at least what he believes... not so much them.
When some kind of commotion erupted inside the bar, Hongjoong listened out to what it could be but quickly grew disinterested when it seemed to be nothing more than some celebrity gossip. Great, some Instagram whore must have entered the place and caused a stir.
Hongjoong grumbles as he turns to plot with a now-preoccupied Grey. The Alpha seems more interested in the woman's ass that he's grabbing than the omega he has been pushing to have for the last couple of months but it doesn't stop Hongjoong from continuing to say what he wants do to Chan if he ever sees him again.
Sure, it would break the code that most wolves live by because Mikyoung willingly left and she left because of Hongjoong but none of that matters. None of that fucking matters when his pack whispers about how free she is now, how happy, how fucking good it is for her to be with an Alpha that respects her.
All these things have been hits to his ego and pride over the last couple of days and fuelled his anger even more.
He knows he should have tightened that leash around her neck and kept her close. From the moment he saw them together, the way Chan fussed over her after everything that happened to how she seemed to be going out more, doing more, wanting to be more. Ah, little Mikyoung has always been a dreamer, she's always longed for the happily ever after in those fucking sex books she reads, but he really thought she knew and understood the reality of her situation.
Clearly, he was mistaken.
Hongjoong did what he's always done and instead of getting the results that he's always gotten — she left. The house, the pack, him. For Chan. Perfect fucking pretty boy Chan.
If Mikyoung has left, he should respect that but when has he ever given a shit about what someone else wants?
A voice sounds from behind him, a hand lands on his shoulder and forcefully turns him around, and before he knows it — a hand is connecting with his face and knocking him off his feet.
"What the fuck—"
Chris has Hongjoong against the pool table, his fist repeatedly connecting with the Alpha's face while Irene fixes her hair with one hand as the other is pressed against the other Alpha's chest. "I wouldn't get involved if I were you." She says simply, eyes focusing on her fiancé.
She can't quite make out what Chris is growling at Hongjoong as he slams his head into the table one last time, the Alpha falling limp, but Irene is certain that it's a threat. A 'Don't mess with his family' type of threat.
The wolf stands up straight, fixing his jacket and running bloodied fingers through his hair before turning and meeting Irene's eyes. The rage burning within them dousing slightly before they travel to where her hand touches the other's chest. "Let's go." He bites out and Irene simply smiles before removing her hand, intending to make her way back to his side.
"No you fucking don't, bitch." Grey grabs her wrist, squeezing so hard that he could snap it but he barely gets to do anything of the sort before a silver-ringed fist meets his jaw.
A low, threatening growl rumbles through Chris' chest as he protectively pulls Irene closer to him, Christian standing slightly behind them both. Sure, Irene could have taken him out for daring to touch her but it's much more romantic having Chris do it.
It is date night, after all.
"I told you not to get involved." She smiles as her partner's arm slips around her waist before he guides her towards the exit. "They never listen." Irene lets out a dramatic sigh while Chris stares straight ahead.
Christian follows the couple out with a smirk on his face, it's always fun watching Chris pummel some poor fucker to the ground — even better when it's two.
Hongjoong is barely conscious when he's lead out of the bar by one of his betas, the wolf quiet as he helps the Alpha into the car. Who the fuck was that? He thinks to himself, his body aching and mind foggy from the beating he just took.
The guy came out of nowhere but had definitely arrived with a purpose. His woman had the audacity and strength to keep Grey from getting involved and that fucker, Yu, was recording the whole thing on his phone.
Did he organise this? No, he doesn't think so. The wolf looked too much like Chan for it to be revenge for beating up some idiot human.
Though, as Hongjoong leans his head against the seat, he knows that it won't matter who the guy is. It never does because he'll be dead soon once Grey recovers, Hongjoong is sure of it.

"Its happened again. My wings are shifting their colors, feathers darkening fully to a dark red color, the color of old blood. Have I reached the stage of a full angel now? It feels like it, and yet, at the same time, not.
I've finally finished my armor. It took on a dark copper colored hue and it looks good but menacing, in a way. The whole set is heavy and thick and I don't understand why yet. That, and I finally crafted my twin set of swords. Long and sharp, dangerous and intricately beautiful. Dangerous in every way. I also crafted a heavy warhammer with the hammerhead as that of a dragon, three spikes trailing from the head and to the back of the hammerhead, made for smashing and ripping.
But enough of that. I've finally found my calling and it seems so right too. The stirrings of life and urge to protect it by any means. The feeling of carrying a growing life and yet I know I'm not...but the potential is there nonetheless and it amazes me. The urge itself to protect those who cardy is so strong that its nearly overpowering my mind.
I did see a rather cute angel today, on an off note. Tall, muscular, and quite the looker..."
