Egon had tried to warn her. He winced when the spark flew. Smoke trailed around him, and for a second he took a moment to study how it seemed to go through his hands, mixing along the edges of his current form. He waves a hand to see if the smoke moves. Barely.
He focused back on the charger.
“See what condition the conductors are in.” He offers. “If they’re not scorched from that spark, we don’t have to start all over.”
She gets a patient smile. He couldn’t fault her. She had gotten much further than any other child her age. Not that he was surprised, she was his granddaughter after all.
“Just means you know for next time.”
