A firey boulder flew overhead as an Iron Horde cannon was sent realing by the force of it's collission. Smoke rised from Bladefury's Command. Dasacht followed Phoenix inward and the terrible Magnaron had been torn asunder by an aerial assault and utter onslaught at the hands of the archmage Modera and a stranger, dressed in red and black, who left after the beast's demise in the form of a raven.
It wasn't long before only she stood in their way. Dust kicked up in a small ring in the sand, a top the highest point of the fortress. Azuka meditated there, her terrible blade Sanketsu, drapped over her legs. She arose at the arrival of the human commander and her pet attack dog, she barked:
"Well, well, well. Look, warriors: The human monster and her little savage finally make their appearance. Where are your armies? I expected a grand battle of hundreds, instead all I have are a few dozen against my hundreds! Pathetic!"
Phoenix snapped back at her in anger, her blood still hot from her daring raid on Lunarfall:
"We got to your putrid hide easy enough, and now I end you for your insulence!"
Azuka laughed at the Commander's claim, standing up, she held Sanketsu easily in one arm. A chilled wind blew away much of the smoke strung around the battlefield, many warriros fighting fell silent to watch Dasacht step forward, sword extending from his mechanical arm as he drew his other. He was as he had always been: Her Champion. If Phoenix made a challenge he would fufill it. Always.
Both of their faces lost all emotion, they were silent. Dust was strewn past by wind and a drop of sweat falling to the hot brittle ground could be heard. Dasacht remembered Baros Alexander, Jeanine Amrell, every single soldier who's death empowered the damn blade of hers. It had tasted his blood before but never the lifeblood. It hummed in anticipation and the two stepped forward and clashed.
The sound of steel striking steel echoed the entire fort, gasps would pass lips as the two acted out a dance of death, one would take a final bow before the end of it. Dasacht was older and had a greater knowledge of war, Azuka had every physical advantage, she was faster, stronger and used the powers of mimicry and invisibilty that blademasters were known for to her advantage. Often Dasacht struck what would've been a deathblow on what turned to thin air only to quickly side stepped a terrible greatsword strike. Azuka called a terrible fire that struck Dasacht down the face, stepping back he felt his flesh sear at the touch and clenched his teeth, refusing to let Azuka get vocal satisfaction to her blow. She disappeared as she struck dust up and into his eyes and Dasacht felt blood form in his mouth as a sharp pain pierced his back and broke through the front of his armour. The crowd let out an audable gasp and Phoenix nearly screamed as the orcs raised their arms in joy
"Sanketsu..."
He spoke weakly, Azuka laughed as she stepped away from the crumbling warrior, turning to Phoenix.
"Now you get to watch him die before I kill-"
Dasacht's screams interuppted her boasting as he stood up, pulling the blade from his back he held it aloft as blood gushed from him a miracle his intestines didn't spill out. His skin went pale, dust and blood contrasting his skin.
"I...am...not...dead...YET!"
Dasacht charged the now disarmed Azuka and sliced at her, taking her arms off with a ferocious yell. The warlord hollared as she fell to her knees and looked up, Sanketsu being forced downward and before it met it's master's flesh she cried.
"WARCHIEF! I FAILED YOU!"
Sanketsu sank deep into her throat, impaling the Warlord to the ground. Dasacht let go and fell to his knees, leaning backward.
"Rule...One..never turn your back to a live foe!"
He rolled to his side, the orcs ran in dismay and the cries of joy from the Alliance and Horde assailants fel silent as he did. Concerned murmings as Modera moved from the crowd next to him, calling a portal to Lunarfall half a dozen alliance and horde warriors stepped forward and offered to carry him through, which they did with haste to the medic bay. Unsure if Dasacht would live.
