He ate quickly, Mori noticed, hoping that all the bits and pieces that he scarfed down wouldn’t be making a reappearance. The clinic didn’t take all that good care of him because they were scared.. it didn’t seem to shrink his stomach which meant that he hadn’t been there long.. Long enough though.. to be starving for food. While he ate his meal slowly, he watched the animal make its way to the window, eyes twinkling as if fascinated by the lights of the night.. It was indeed beautiful.. That was how it was in this oriental city funny enough.. Taller was better.. because when the sun went down and the business turned their neons on… It was like a wonderland.. Blinking its colorful fluorescent lights that seemed so bright and almost bioluminescent. Glowing and reflecting off pools of water, it was such a majesty to beheld..
Finishing up his dish, he took another survey of the pooch only to find him curled up, asleep.. It must have been hard.. But luckily, he felt comfortable enough to relax and sleep, yeah? This was a good sign.. Taking both his dish and the dog’s, he took them to the kitchen so that he could wash them at a later date. Because he may not get up early, he set out a dish both filled with water and some with more kibble as a snack or breakfast for whenever he woke up. Mori looked to pup before disappearing into his room for a bit, coming back with a cushiony dog bed and settled it next to the window where he napped. Carefully.. he slid his hands underneath him to pick him up and settle the other into the bed. While there was… indeed another dog, there was no scent of it among the bed.. Only another scent of Mori among the bed.. It was odd.. but perhaps it didn’t matter all that much…
With the pooch settled properly and warmly.. He stretched his arms above his head and went to go to bed… When the pup would wake, morning light would be streaming in through the window—a bit of a downside but the city continued to look warm and bright at this height.. People like ants, scurrying around to get to their jobs but it didn’t look like the human was awake just yet. The kitchen was empty and so was the bathroom, there were sliding doors that smelled of mothballs and detergent and a door that was slightly open, the darkness of a bedroom inside.
Then, of course, there was the snack that was left behind besides the table where dinner had been.
It was like Yan was falling into a dark abyss at first in his dream. It was so dark and cold but it didn’t seem to frighten him. He was used to this after all. He looked at his hands and, though it was blurry, he could make out that he finally changed forms. Even with this revelation, when he closes his eyes, he certainly didn’t feel that he had changed forms.
Yan growled a little in his sleep when he was picked up and placed in the dog bed. He scrunches his nose and eyes at the slight scent that he caught from the bed. He brings a paw to rub at his nose before rolling on the bed to mask it with his own scent instead. When he finally settled his dream seemed less dark and he actually felt warmth engulf him even if it was just a little bit. It was a world of a difference for Yan.
Morning came and with it Yan woke up gently. Well, as gently as he could when realizing he was still in the strange place from last night. The pup got up immediately, not bothering to stretch out his muscles, before exploring the place. The one thing he noticed was that it was bright. Way brighter than anywhere he’s ever been.
The first place he went to was the kitchen. He looked to the bowl of kibble in distaste before letting himself take a few bites from it. He would be needing something, anything, if he were to set off on a journey. He continued to search for an exit and was on high alert for the being that must live here.
He hated how big everything seemed to him in his pup form. At this rate he couldn’t find any way for him to escape. The worst part of this was that he was getting that feeling in his stomach that he needed to go outside. There was a part of him that finds the though humiliating enough but since he’s been stuck in this form for quite some time...there was time to feel ashamed.
There was one place he did not check yet and for good reason. He approached the beings door and slipped past the crack. It seems as though they are still asleep. A chill went down Yan’s spine that made him not want to enter the room. It seemed quite ordinary at a glance and it probably really was. The only thing that perturbed the pup was the aura and feeling that seemed to roll of the being. It was the same feeling he felt back at the pound.
He takes one step in, and with a deep breath, he lets out a series of barks to get the being attention. He even adds in the thumps of his paws against the floor just in case the other was a light sleeper.
