He’d been searching. Looking for some kind of internal peace. To grasp something of what he’d been only a handful of years ago. Returning to Pandaria had made sense, despite that he’d had to be careful none who knew his face saw him. Perhaps someone had... or perhaps the dragon had simply had a feeling. Either way, it almost made sense for Wrathion to be the one to find him there. After all, it was where they’d first met.

“You... what?” Of all the things Anduin had heard in his lifetime... this wasn’t actually one of them. This was new. No one had ever actually dared before. Perhaps that came when someone knew who he was. Maybe this man didn’t, which Anduin found he was glad for. “Is this how you normally start conversations?”

It was strange how things changed. How Sylvanas Windrunner had become one of the few people he could truly speak with. She understood, on some level, and though he didn’t know if he trusted her... understanding without judgement, that was enough. He thought, maybe, that went both ways. Not friends, not even truly allies, but they could talk. That was how he found himself in the Maw again, a place he never thought would leave his dreams. Revelations had taken place and, truthfully, he didn’t know where to turn. Perhaps Sylvanas would understand this, as well.
