Bryce squinted his eyes at the boy in front of him. “You know it makes no sense for you to want to be a prostitute when you don’t have to be,” he told.

It was a pretty normal day for Bryce. He had woken up early to go to the gym before work then headed into the office. He had a few normal patients to start the day and a couple of new walk-ins. It was late when he got off, but not completely dark. He let out a soft groan when it started to rain right after he got into his car, but he was used to driving in the rain.

He took his normal route home and was still a couple of miles from home when his headlights brought something into his view. He saw a figure running along the side of the road, then into the road. It stopped when he got close enough for his headlights to actually show that it was a humanoid figure. With a tail.

He slammed on his breaks when the figure didn’t move, screeching to a stop and swerving a little as he pulled to the side. He jumped out of his car and ran towards the figure, yelling out. “Hey! What are you doing in the middle of the road?!” He got almost all the way to the figure when he saw their legs fall out from under them. “Fuck!” 

He closed the distance to the figure, thankful that no one else was on the road at that time. He looked up and down the road to check if anyone was chasing the hybrid, finally noticing that it looked female. He ran his fingers through his now soaked hair and leaned down. He scooped the hybrid into his arms and went back to his car. He put it in the back of his car, and got back into the driver’s side and continued on the way back home. 

He had no idea what he was going to do when they got back to his home, but he guessed he’d figure it out when they got there. He ran his fingers through his hair again when he pulled into his driveway, looking to the back of his car at the hybrid. He got out and picked it up again, carrying the hybrid into his house and to his spare room. Once there, he was actually able to look it over, noticing various injuries. “Fuck...” he whispered under his breath before going to get his home medical kit and set to work on patching it up. 

When he was done, he moved the hybrid gently, putting a shirt and a pair of boxers on the naked frame using the opening for the tail. He then went to his kitchen, setting about making food for himself and his unexpected houseguest.

Bryce was off dancing with another girl as he took another swig of his beer. As soon as the crowd went wild with the music, the girl in front of him tried to plant a sloppy kiss on him, he backed away giving the other a chuckle. “Woah there, you’re pretty, but you’re not my type.” He told the other, you’re not her, he could’ve said. The girl looked livid afterwards and he knew it was his cue to leave, “Gotta go now, love.” He told her, making an escape, not waiting for her response. As soon as he was out from the crowd, he went and sat with one of the bar stools. He ordered another beer then looked at the girl beside him, someone to flirt with again, but when he saw her face, his smile turned into a frown. “Well, well, look who’s here with me tonight. Where’s your mighty and powerful husband?”

Bryce ran his fingers through her hair gently as he read through the file on his tablet. It was nice to have someone to just spend time with, and Teal was quickly becoming an actual friend. While he had originally hired her to relieve some of his pressure, he more cared about the things they did outside of nakedness. She had a quick mind and enough sass to challenge him, and it was starting to make a positive impact in his cases. 

He had technically lost track of how many times they had met up at this point, but this seemed a little different before. But he didn’t care to question it and risk it changing. So he just continued to play with her hair as he read.

Bryce was excited for this evening. He and June had been idly looking for someone to bring into their lives, just because they had felt something was missing. At the same time, they had so much going on in their lives that sometimes they weren’t able to get any time together. So it would be nice to have someone they could have together and also separately.

Bryce had met her first, at a bar not far from his work. They had hit it off, so he had gently mentioned what he and his wife were looking for. When the girl had reacted positively, Bryce actually extended the offer after messaging his wife. When Cassie agreed, Bryce set a date and offered a place for the three of them to meet and talk and see where things could go. 

June had her fingers tangled with Bryce’s as they walked into the bar where they were supposed to meet. They were early, as planned. The pair walked to a booth and sat side by side on one side, talking lightly to each other as they waited for Cassie to arrive as well.

Rydel: I just can’t sleep and since Brie refuses to talk to me right now i have no one to tell me it was a stupid idea to film a makeup video before bed cause now i’m tired but no energy to wash my face off lol
