Huh, so she noticed that he was walking a little differently than normal. Well, he was usually the type to be running from place to place, difficult to pin down for too long, but since he'd injured his ankle, he was trying to take things at least a little easier. He didn't want to worry his sister if he didn't need to, so have been attempting to keep it from the others. "Eh - I may have injured my leg...well ankle...a little? But it's nothing serious so please don't tell Hana? I really don't want her to be worrying about me", he smiled lightly, scratching the back of his head nervously, "...if I promise to take it easy - will you promise not to tell her?". It wasn't that sore, not really. Just enough of an annoyance that he wasn't able to be as active as he'd usually be, which was also why he'd been trying to avoid running into Hana too.

Eli wasn’t a fan of days like today. These were the kind of days that made him wish he had a higher paying job, that he already had his college qualifications. Still, he wasn’t going to complain, he knew that even though things were a struggle sometimes, he was blessed to have the life he had. He just wished he could do more for his mom after all the sacrifices she had made for him. That was one of the reasons he had reconnected with her Dani, because he just wanted to see his Mama happy. 

He’d chosen to sit at one of the tables by the window, it was a little too breezy for him to be able to study outside but at least this way he could still enjoy the sunshine and enjoy the perks of free caffeine top ups until his shift started in a couple of hours. Despite the fact that he wasn’t actually on shift yet, his head still raised every time he heard the door open and greeted his regulars with a smile before returning his attention to his textbooks. 

Eli lifted his head from his note taking, a wide smile on his face as he saw her walk through the door, “Hey, Dani!”

‘for the last goddamn time, marty, stop calling me. i’m on my fucking honeymoon for christ’s sake!’ and with that eli is hitting the end button on his phone, ‘i’m gone for two days and already everything’s already going to shit.’ the older man sighs as he settles back into the bed of the cabana. most of the time he was elazar ackerman, one of the wealthiest men in the world, but for the next few weeks he was simply a man on his honeymoon. he takes a long sip off his whiskey, his hand coming down to pat the head of the woman curled up naked in his lap, ‘i’m thinking of extending our trip.’ he nods, letting his fingers gently tangle into her hair. they where at his home in santorini right now, then they would head to paris, spain, brazil and mexico before returning home but eli wants more time away from everything with her and now he’s thinking of adding extra stops to their honeymoon, ‘you’ve never been to rome, have you? it’s a beautiful country.’ he hums, ‘i haven’t been there in many years. i’ve got a villa there i rent out to tourists.’ he looks down at her. his beautiful new wife, ‘maybe i’ll just take the whole year.’ eli chuckles, his other hand moving to her lift her hand and admiring the very expensive ring she now wore, ‘i want to see you naked in every country.’ he lifts her knuckles to his lips and kisses them, ‘doesn’t that sound nice, mrs. ackerman?’
