Alpha tries to be gentle with her wound, not wanting to make it worse for her. He should have done something to have prevented this from happening and yet this was the best he could do. “I’m sorry this happened.” He lets out a sigh, more in slight frustration at himself than helping her out.

Alpha couldn’t believe she got stuck with having to tell Octavia what happened. It wasn’t like Alpha had even been there when it happened. “It’s about Bellamy,” she was doing her best to be tactful and not just dump it on Octavia too rudely. “Apparently he went hunting with a few others earlier today. He didn’t make it back.” Well, not alive anyway. They had brought back his body after all.

“How many times do I have to tell you not to bring trophies home! Dammit Murphy.” As hot as it was for them to get away with their little ‘ hobby ’, Alpha hated having to bleach blood off her kitchen table and fill her bathtub with the correct amount of chemicals to get rid of the evidence he would often bring home. “For fucks sake,” she sighed as she stared at him and then the severed hand.

Alpha stared at Naomi over the rim of her teacup before she placed it back down. Her mother had set up this meeting just like she’d set up the marriage. As much as Alpha had protested against it, there had so far been no getting out of it. And now she sat across from her intended, drinking tea and plotting how she’d annoy her into backing out of the marriage.
Reaching for the teapot of hot water, Alpha ‘ accidentally ’ spilled it, meaning to burn Naomi in the process, but missing. “Oops.”

She had never been particularly excited by the prospect of a soul mate, but finding out that Finn was it wasn’t just disappointing, it pissed her off. It seemed like some sort of cruel, cosmic joke. Had she really been that bad of a person? (Probably, but that was beside the point.) “You’ve got to be fucking kidding me,” she tells him. “No way in hell do I want you as my soul mate.”

Everything was going to shit. Alpha couldn’t believe their people had actually voted Pike as chancellor. “Who does Pike think he is?” It wasn’t like she’d sought out Jasper in particular to bitch about Pike to, but he was conveniently around when she wanted to complain. Her biggest problem was that Pike had manipulated his way into the position of leadership via hatred and fear. (And that was eventually supposed to be her job!) “I hope you’re not too drunk to listen to my complaints.” Not like she wouldn’t bitch anyway.
