Tonight we were in the MAK (Museum of Applied Arts) in Vienna. The Uncanny Values and the Design Lab exhibition is very cool, if you are in the city, check it out! There is a lot of things I want to say, but the most important thing is we are living here, in Vienna now finally and we are very happy and relieved. I'm starting to feel placidity, harmony and some calm. We have a few things to do at home (for example suing someone and do my very finals at the Uni), but it's just fine. Gauntlet, mid 17th century, Hungary

Materials: copper; velvet Techniques: chiselled; parcel-gilt; silvered

Dimensions: length: 47 cm width: 17,5 cm - - Made for a tournament. The metal plates applied on the sewn velvet of the five fingers gauntlet make possible the moving of the wrist, finger and knuckles. The surface of it is covered with false precious stones and applied fittings. On the basis of the description, the gauntlet belonging to the armoury in the possession of Ödön Batthyany- Strattmann, in 1896, in the castle of Kormend, is an analogous piece.
