#ourheritageofsplendour #museumsofkenya #snakepark #whereheritagelives Regrann from @thesnakepark - Did you know that 125,000 people die every year from snake bite? And close to 400,000 will suffer long term health issues as a result of snake bite? Antivenom needs to be safe, affordable and effective. The reality is that in most sub-Saharan African countries, antivenom is overpriced and totally out of reach for most victims. Cheap alternatives of poor quality are sometimes available but are ineffective, and many victims turn first to traditional healers who are ill-trained to treat snake bite. On Thursday the 26th of April we will be screening the Minutes To Die documentary in the Louis Leakey Auditorium at the National Museum of Kenya, at 7pm. Please save the date, more information to follow. Thank you!
