Heitor Villa-Lobos, Choros n10 part II - "Rasga Coração" ("Tear Open the Heart") I've been sharing it all over bc I'm so obsessed lately 💛 Villa-Lobos was a Brazilian maestro and composer who mixed lots of BR folk and indigenous influence into classical music. Correct me if im wrong but as far as I know, this was "frowned upon" by other classical musicians at the time bc he was breaking a lot of conventions and mixing in BR / Latin American sounds with orchestra. You go my guy lmao This was written in 1926!!! Sounds epic AF and it's stuff we're seeing in modern videogames OSTs (Genshin Impact and Civilization for ex)
