Music across borders

Andrew Kovaliov and Roma Sobol of “Brunettes Shoot Blondes” took part in the international project “Music across borders” that took place in Kriviy Rih from 8th to 12th July 2015. Thanks to common efforts of Культурно-громадський центр ШELTER+ (UA) and Roundhouse (UK) 25 young and professional musicians from Ukraine, UK and USA during 5 days collaborated to create brand new material. The participants had the opportunity to learn new stuff at workshops and discussions. “It was a great experienceI wish there were such projects when I was a teenager”,- says Andrew. Young musicians learned how to create music in a band and cooperate with a sound producer. They developed new professional skills and had knowledge exchanges while studying sessions moderated by experienced trainers. Participants showed the result of their cooperation by playing live at the final music performance on 12th July. The first part of the project has finished. In next few days, it will be announced which were the best 5 musicians and who will continue participating in the project and go to London in November 2015.
