me listening to yuck by charli xcx as if ive had any romantic experience
It really doesn't seem like 10 years ago this album came out. My ambition definitely led me here. I was in my second stint of #daV and I was nowhere near close to the thought process I'm on now. I really may have to go back and listen to that album. #musicSnob https://www.instagram.com/p/CVyaXBVPx_Q/?utm_medium=tumblr

Advice for Remy, Day 190. Don’t be a music snob - give every type of music a chance. I’ve always found it impossible to answer the question ‘What kind of music do you like?’. It’s never made sense to me, as it’s never been an area where I’ve aligned myself with one particular faction. Music is fabulous, and greatness can be found in every area of the spectrum. From cheesy pop to classic nineties indie, fifties rock and roll to country, metal to classical - there’s something in each and none should be dismissed. I don’t understand how even someone not into classical music couldn’t be moved at Pavarotti singing Nessun Dorma. Or how someone who isn’t a Queen fan couldn’t be swept up by the majesty of Freddie on stage during Live Aid. Or how someone born after the year 2000 couldn’t appreciate how electrifying Elvis was in his youth. Music is incredible - every single part of it. So it’s important to give it all a chance. Sure, you may not like big chunks of it, but never get stuck in a groove and reject things outright because they’re not in your genre. You’ll struggle to get away from it growing up here, as we flit from Fleetwood Mac to Taylor Swift, Twenties classics to Country, classic nineties hip hop to dance anthems and much besides. So you can love songs and hate songs, but never reject something outright because it’s in a genre out of your usual sphere. Try it - you might just find something which changes your life.
