Muskelberg by Die Selektion
DIE SELEKTION - MUSKELBERG (KKOE REMIX)
A contender for remix of the year here courtesy of little-known Berlin bedroom producer and DJ -kkoee-. The man behind this is responsible for organising Void, a Berlin club night that is a celebration of the weird and wonderful amidst a soundtrack akin to retro and cutting edge forms of EDM fed into a supercollider. 'Muskelberg' is a myriad of disjointed bass and stop-start drums, kept in sync by the formidable voice of Die Selektion's frontman, Luca Morte. Normally, I'm not a huge fan of German lyrics, but in the case of Die Selektion, who pump out German dark-wave in the same vein as DAF and Joy Division, nothing could fit better. 10/10.
