Welp, I didn't get an email notification of this ask for some reason, so I guess the end has come and gone by now. (But not for me; I'm still in the process of (re)reading the whole thing. I really should have started earlier >.>)

send “◀️◀️” to get a glimpse at a memory from my muse’s past. ((You can choose either Frisk or Ranz on this one.))

“What’s...that?” asked Frisk, as soon as their eyes had recovered. They were eight years old, curls cascading over their shoulders in an uncomfortable tangle, and they were still feeling as if they had awoken into a waking dream.
“What’s what?” was Asriel’s reply, tugging on their hand as he stepped over the threshold. Frisk flinched at the sudden movement, unused still to the monster’s--or any monster’s presence, but they swallowed their fear and, hesitantly stepped forward onto the carpet of white stuff just past the huge doorway.
They jumped back immediately, hand slipping out of Asriel’s.
“It’s really cold!”
Asriel turned to face them, confusion lacing his features. “Don’t you have snow on the surface?”
Snow.
This was snow. The legendary thing that they’d only seen in cartoons in school and in the textbooks handed down to them from their brothers. This was the thing that was supposedly colder than the ice water they sipped with their classmates during recess. Frisk ignored Asriel, eyes wide with wonder as they crouched to examine the ground past the purple tiles of the Ruins.
The white was blinding still, and their brief contact with it had been colder than anything they’d ever experienced.
“...we don’t,” they said as they stood again. They inhaled deeply, and stepped forward again after Asriel, reaching for his hand once more. The monster looked surprised to hear this, though he didn’t seem to mind the contact at all.
It was the beginning of their life in the Underground, and realizing that there was a multitude of wonders for them to discover filled them with determination.
@asktheunioncatfish: *A strangely clothed Fish person makes their way to the crime scene. His purpose? To investigate the brutal murder of Flowey.*
* It would seem as though a small grave was planted where the flower was murdered.
* Spores and pollen seem to be floating in the air.
((Is petting the Lesser Dog cathartic for you? If so that's great!))
IT WAS SO GREAT
DID YOU SEE HIS NECK
IT WAS RIDICULOUS
Have you heard of the theory/headcanon that Chara is the narrator for Undertale, no matter what? What're your thoughts on that?
I have, and I’d say it’s very likely to be canon, based on the fact that nothing about the narrated text changes when Chara speaks directly in the geno run, save for the color switch!
There are also plenty of places where their thoughts and personality shines through in the regular narration, such as the “serious mode” the game is locked into, when you fight any member of Chara’s adoptive family. I personally assume it’s canon, or at least implied canon, for the time being.
How DID you manage to mod UNDERTALE? Can you share with us your secrets please?
This is a little tricky. I’m not 100% sure where this would fall in Toby’s rules on what you can share and what you can’t share. I can say that generally you have to unpack the game, find a way to get to where the textures/strings are stored, change them accordingly, and then repack them. It’s a somewhat convoluted process. If someone could direct me to something where Toby says this is okay, then I’d be happy to share the whole process. Otherwise though, I’d rather not accidentally do something he wouldn’t want done.Sorry about that :c
