You grow to love Allah when you truly understand who He is. Yes, He is your Lord, but He is also your Guardian. Speak to Him that way, He can and will look out for you if you have any problems.
He is The Most Loving. He is The Provider. He is the Extender. The All-Hearing, All-Seeing. The Giver of Justice. The Magnificent, the Majestic. The All-Wise, The Watchful.
He's there. All you have to do is reach out through a small prayer or dua, and He will be there for you. Once you understand this, your soul will be at ease.
