Meta about the Muse

Albert has a certain weakness for pretty much all modes of transportation, walking, horses, bikes, cars, ships, planes, trains, the man is a menace for moving.

A motorbike however is particularly special to Albert. He is not depending on his own varying levels of fitness to use it but most importantly to him, he has better excuse to ride it alone and with a full tank that itch of freedom becomes quite alluring, especially just after he returns from war and he’s in his more rebellious years.

He gets to chose his passenger if he even wants one, he can use the bike to escape up narrower lanes or even use it to drive across more uneven terrain. He’s never done so, never on the bike anyway, but that edge of total freedom is precious to him, even if he never actually indulges.

As King of course he will not be seen on a motorbike, though that won’t stop him from having one kept in Sandringham specifically for him, even if he never actually gets the chance to enjoy it again.
