There really is such a softness in knowing that you look up at some of the same stars as people who lived 5000 years ago did.
With all the drama going in the Supernatural fandom, I saw a post saying that Sam Winchester was supposed to be the main character and when I saw that post I didnt really believe it, because, well, both brothers are supposed to be the protagonists right?. As said before, I am retwatching Supernatural because I am terrible at taking good life decisions, and as I was watching the first episodes, that post wouldnt leave my brain, until today I finally realized what was bothering me. First, I just want to clarify that I am not speaking of the actors, alright?, I am only speaking of the characters, this will be as much unbiased as I can, my opinions of the actors has nothing to do with this (if you want to know, that is a different post). Second, as a character I love both Dean and Sam (and Castiel). Now unto what I wanted to say.
I finally get what it was that was bothering me. From my perspective, the first episodes actually do seem to focus a lot on Sam as a character, and I think they are supposed to make us think of him as the main character, the protagonist, the golden boy, the hero. He has the classic history and background of the hero character and I guess we are supposed to root for him and feel empaty and sympaty in his quest of revenge. If you subscribe to this theory, Dean is supposed to be the classic sidekick who is supposed to help the hero in his quest (and will probably met a tragic fate later on, yes, final, I am looking at you). He is supposed to be the comic relief, who obviously can do the mission by himself (when he asks for Sams help, and all those times that Sam seems to have the answers and make the plans even if Dean has more experience and literally has hunt alone for a long time)
And here is the thing that in theory is what they may have written and are trying to convey to the viewers, there is just one not so little problem. I think that when they decided to portray us Sam as the hero, they ended up making him very two dimension (at least at the beggining), which wouldnt exactly be an issue if Dean wasnt the oposite. See, Sam in the first episodes, is at the very least bland and in an extreme he could even be called unlikeable from a young adult or adult perspective, Dean is completely the oposite, he is supposed to be portray flawed (he “wasnt proud” of Sam going to college, he dragged Sam to hunting, he flirts with all the girls, he is “arrogant”) and somehow all that makes him more likable than Sam. He may not be the original hero or what we normally associate with a hero but he shows an empathy to the witness, a will to keep going, and a flawed personality that makes him more relatable than Sam. Now, I am not saying Sam is not a good guy, I am just saying that he is completely outshinned by Dean.
I've recently realized that sometimes a project idea was thought of at a time when you weren't ready to write it.
Lucky Guess and Life Changing Field Trip: Junior Edition were both thought of a long time ago but only now have I started writing them and I think they, as well as my other stories like them, are actually better for it.
Do ya'll ever feel incredibly inferior to our ancestors? Like- Who the hell thought up paper making? I have no clue how to make paper
What I'm saying is if I was incharge of inventing paper we'd still have so many fucking trees
Not because I would predict deforestation or anything, just because I'm dumb
eyes
what is it
about those eyes
that sees too deep?
people you meet
time to time.
wisdom pouring
from a single glance
no words,
just profoundly powerful gaze.

So I just realized...
About that beach thing victuuri and otayuri had done. Could it be that with victuuri, they had their beach confessions during/after dawn because their feelings/love was already starting, and it was only a matter of time until they got their shit together and finally get together??? While with otayuri it was at night because for them, their feelings/love has yet to start???
