This was defiantly not the side of the tracks that Ariel belonged on, not being the kind of girl she was. This was Greaser territory and while she was more reclusive since her accident than anything, she was still technically a soc girl. But the last thing she thought would happen was the nice guy that had offered to take her home from school would actually drive her all the way out to the middle of the Greasers and leave her stranded there as some cruel joke.

The ginger looked around herself nervously, perched on her crutches (the only things that gave her the ability to be independently mobile anymore), and wished the boy would come back, but after a good hour of sitting on the sidewalk alone, it was obvious she was going to have to find another way home before it got dark....

God she wished one of her sisters were with her right then.
