Surprise Visit - Closed RP
âAh-" The Doctor started, his eyes flicking to the blade pointed at him and then to her face, "Running from guards is a good excuse, right? âCause thatâs what I was doing -â
It might be best if he elaborated on that. Running from guards usually meant he was up to no good, and he really wasnât. âComplete misunderstanding, that. A lot like this now -" He tended to get into those a lot, "Didnât realize how late it was when I went to visit an old friend - guards mightâve taken that the wrong way.âÂ
ââ It wasnât a great excuse. Her eyes narrowed and the second foot touched ground, carrying the weight of menace. Intruders in the palace rarely had the most glowing of motives. Though trying to imagine the man before her as a master assassin was a stretch, for a multitude of reasons.
Slow and deliberate, her sword never dipping, Sif stalked around the bed to maneuver herself between potential routes of escape off the balcony, nonetheless. Diving through windows was sort of cliche, but if he was an assassin he was surely an amateur one. There was always the option of retreating back out the door heâd come through, but as he said the palace guard was combing the corridors in search of him.Â
â What sort of resident of the palace receives unexpected visits from a Midgardian? â Thor might, but seeing as the crown prince was currently ensconced in that exact realm as they spoke that was unlikely.Â
"Midgardian? Oh! You mean the humans! I'm not human, though I completely understand the confusion to an untrained eye - uh, not that you have an untrained eye because by the looks of it you have a very trained eye with that sword - sorry, am I going on a bit? I do that sometimes - more often when I have a weapon pointed at me."
The Doctor blinked again, rubbing the back of his neck awkwardly, "Oh, I came to visit Odin - I'm sure you heard of him. King - about yay high -" he raised a hand to the assumed height of the man in question (a few thousand years ago for Odin in any way) "I came a few years ago. Was at his coronation - lovely after party though a bit too much singing for my tastes. Ah - I think it was a few years ago. May be a bit longer... that's the trouble with Time Travel - especially my ship. Anyone would think she likes to get me into trouble!"
Now would probably be the time to plot his escape. She seemed to be purposely blocking most exits - the window for one - he hadn't jumped out of one in a while. He could go into the hallway again, but the guards were combing the halls - and probably laughing if they knew where he was, no wonder they didn't check this room! There was only one plan he could think of that had a good chance of working and that was his TARDIS key. Â "I don't suppose you could lower that sword now?" he asked, and then red flushed on his face, "And - ah - maybe cover yourself? Again, really sorry for the interruption."

////I need your guys opinion on something. I have three rp blogs that are all sideblogs to my personal blog. I was considering making a new blog account and put all my muses in the one blog, that way I can send asks and not have my dash mixed with rp and personal. The only problem is that I donât want to annoy my rp partners and followers :( do you guys mind if I do this?

This was not really how he was expecting this trip to Asgard to go. He was just going to go visit Odin and see how he was going and how his rule was going - it had been a while since his last visit - and he ended up being chased down a hall by guards! (maybe that was his fault, maybe trying to enter the kings room in the dead of night may just send the wrong impression, maybe)
He turned a corner and pushed open the closest door and quickly entered and shut it behind him. He paused, and listened to the door and the guards wonder where he had gone. After a moment, the guards started to investigate some rooms and halls around - strangely not this one - and he turned around to see exactly where he was.
It was a bedroom that was rather filled with different weapons. In the middle was a bed, with an awake woman on it. The Doctor suddenly clamped his hand over his eyes, âHello!â he exclaimed and then lifted his hand up to peek,âSorry âbout barging in like that - Iâm the Doctor. This your room? Itâs very - ah - pointy.â his eyes trailed over some swords close to the woman.
ââ Sif came awake as abrupt as a crash. There was a not gentle lulling out of the embrace of unconcsciousness, but rather her awareness slammed into her, causing her eyes to snap open and her body to tense as sensory perception and awareness struggled to catch up with instinctive reflex. Namely that which came as an immediate reaction to the sound of footsteps and the unmistakable sensation of an unknown presence occupying her chambers. Her eyes were open but she didnât move and she kept her breathing even. It was a defense mechanism of sortsâa habit accrued from centuries of sleeping in strange locations in close proximity to certain dangers.
The unannounced visitor didnât make any move further into the room however. Rather they seemed to be hovering near the door. Sif pushed up from her bedding, hand lifting the sword she kept perpetually close at hand even in sleep. She shook off the tangle of blankets, swinging a leg down onto the floor into a position more conducive to fighting. The fact that she didnât have a single stitch of clothing on was not something that even fully registered to her. The same could not be said of her intruder who finally turned and promptly covered his eyes. Wise choice.Â
âThank you,â she responded to his remark about her dĂ©cor. He didnât look an assassin. Or a warrior of any kind for that matter. If she had to place him by his attire Sif would have pegged him as Midgardian, of all things. Her confusion increased, which did not do glowing things for the changes of her standing down. She leveled the point of the blade at him.
âYou will find the fact that youâre a physician extremely convenient have you not an excellent explanation for bursting into my chamber.â
"Ah-" The Doctor started, his eyes flicking to the blade pointed at him and then to her face, "Running from guards is a good excuse, right? 'Cause that's what I was doing -"

The Doctor smiled as she took the picture, âThanks! My look is cool." he responded, laughing a bit, "Izzie, huh? Wonderful name! I knew an Izzy once. Brilliant girl." he spoke, "Did the picture come out good?"
Izzie glanced down at the picture and smiled, before sitting herself down next to him to show it off. âHere you go, you look great in it. It seems you are shining through in these photos.â He definitely made the picture all the more interesting. âWho was this other Izzie you knew about?,â she asked, smiling as the waitress returned with what the Doctor ordered.
The Doctor looked at the picture with a smile, "Very nice photo" he complimented, "Oh, she was a brilliant girl. Izzy Sinclair, her name is. We used to travel together ages ago, but she's taken on traveling the Earth alone." he smiled as he took a sip of his tea. Izzy was one of the few who he didn't end up ruining. Very almost anyway.
"What about you, Izzie? What do you do?"
Looking up, the Doctor realised that it wasnât a waiter, but a girl with a camera. He smiled up at her, âSure, you can take my picture.â he said, and then reached up and fixed his bow-tie, âIâm the Doctor. Hello.â
He was a doctor? Huh, she lucked out on it because she could ask him some free medical advice. âNice to meet you, Doctor, Iâm Izzie. You have a really great style about you.â He sort of look like the dappers and she loved the bow tie. âNow smile!,â she asked, winding her camera up and putting it up to her face.
The Doctor smiled as she took the picture, "Thanks! My look is cool." he responded, laughing a bit, "Izzie, huh? Wonderful name! I knew an Izzy once. Brilliant girl." he spoke, "Did the picture come out good?"

     âHappy birthday to meâââ
"Happy Birthday to you!" he bounced through the door, waving a wrapped box above his head.
âWell, the teaâs not bad - could be worse. Donât suppose you got fish fingers and custard?â he looked up at the person standing next to his table who he assumed was a waiter.
"A waiter might better accommodate you," Aldith said formally. She took a sip of her own cup of tea and seated herself at the table beside his, turned away enough to show she had little interest in conversation but not so much as to come across as rude. This man was no point of interest, so she saw no merit in speaking to him and no captivating opportunities for a bit of mischief.
"You're probably right. What're the odds someone just happens to be walking around with fish fingers and custard? Well, other than myself, or people who know me." He grinned a bit and looked at the girl.

"Mm, not really considering I was going to ask if you donât mind if I take your picture. I can ask the person walking with an apron on can get you fish fingers and custard." Odd combination really, but Izzie didnât judge a man for the things he wanted to eat.Â
Looking up, the Doctor realised that it wasn't a waiter, but a girl with a camera. He smiled up at her, "Sure, you can take my picture." he said, and then reached up and fixed his bow-tie, "I'm the Doctor. Hello."

âOh hello!â he exclaimed, surprised to see someone else here, âI was investigating something - what are you doing here?" the Doctor asked, his eyes falling on the manâs gun, "With that?â He may not have the hate towards guns his last self had but he still didnât like them. Guns often meant shooting and killing.
âInvestigating what, exactly?â Hunterâs voice remained with that firm note of coldness in it, green eyes trained on the man in front of him, ready to hold out the gun in front of himself if it would be needed. After all, how can he know that the man can be trusted? âMe? Jâst checking âround.âÂ
"Strange things, disappearances, that kind of stuff. It's what I do." the Doctor responded and flipped a small ID to the man. The Doctor knew that when he'd see it, it would say 'Code Name, Doctor. Scotland Yard.' Â "I'm on loan from Scotland Yard." he said, pointing at his physic paper, "What'd you say your name was?"

Marceline sighed as she resisted the urge to bash her head into the desk. Treaties, letters, some important documents she really had no idea what to do with. âIâm going to go insane.â She muttered to herself. Where was everyone? Marcelineâs brow furrowed at the sound of footsteps coming her way.
"Whoâs there?"
"Just me." The Doctor said, popping his head around the corner of the doorway, and waving, ââEllo!"
"UhmâŠhello there." Marceline waved back. "Iâm MarcelineâŠand you are?" She raised an eyebrow. It wasnât everyday she got visitors.Â
"Iâm the Doctor. Nice to meet you Marceline. Thatâs a good name, should look into keeping it!" The Doctor said, smiling at the girl, "So, where abouts are we?"
"OhâŠyour in Amarathine." Marceline figured sheâd probably have to be slightly more specific. "In FereldenâŠwhich is in Thedas. Your not from here are you?" She grinned. He certainly didnât look like he was from here.Â
"Thedas, is that the planet? Nope not from here, Marceline! Good instinct. I'm from a looong way away!" The Doctor smiled, moving into the room and then fixed his tie, "What do you do here, Marceline?" he asked, looking around the room a bit.
"Yeah, this is Amy Pond speakin, want somethin?"
"âŠ" The Doctor didnât speak, just listened to the voice on the other end of the phone. He didnât mean to dial that number, and he really shouldnât have anyway.
"Hello." she said, getting a bit annoyed at this point, "If you donât answers me, Iâm going to hang up."
The Doctor shook his head to himself, he couldn't answer. He shouldn't answer. He was going to hang up right this instant. Lower the phone and hang up right now- Â "Hello" Where did that come from!?
