Ingredients: 2 cups all-purpose flour. 1/2 teaspoon baking powder. 1/2 teaspoon salt. 1 cup unsalted butter, softened. 1 cup granulated sugar. 1 large egg. 1 teaspoon vanilla extract. 1/2 cup chopped nuts e.g., walnuts, pecans. 1/2 cup chocolate chips. Powdered sugar for dusting.
Instructions: Preheat the oven to 350F 175C. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt. In a separate large bowl, cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until well combined. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Stir in the chopped nuts and chocolate chips. Cover the dough and refrigerate for 30 minutes. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Roll the chilled dough into 1-inch balls and place them on the prepared baking sheet. Use the bottom of a glass dipped in powdered sugar to flatten each cookie slightly. Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden. Remove from the oven and let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes. Transfer the cookies to a wire rack to cool completely. Dust with powdered sugar before serving. Enjoy these delicious holiday cookies!
