The legendary dire corby -- “This subterranean race of huge black bipedal birds contains ferocious fighters which need never check morale. Long ago the dire corbies lost the power of flight; however they make up for this with their great strength and ferocity, always attacking and fighting to the death.” (Alan Hunter illus from AD&D Fiend Folio, TSR, 1981) “Their attack cry can be recognized as ‘Doom! Doom!’” but I might throw in a “Nevermore” or two, since “corby” is an old variant of “corbin” from “corvus” = raven.
