                    orange flame flickers from the trash-can, burning dangerously quickly only a meter or so away from him.  spontaneously combusting objects are more nancy’s speed, he likes to focus on his studies  &  his sports than deal with mysterious happenings but he’s not gonna leave the bin to keep burning.  quickly he grabs at a sheet, throws it on top  (    thinks it’ll cut the oxygen off but all he does is provide fuel for the flames.    ). 

                      ❛ are you just gonna STAND THERE ?  i know you’re probably some arsonist but can you get water or something ?  the fumes from the melting plastic could kill us.   ❜       ned doesn’t know that for sure, he’s just guessing.
