Before its inception, N.E.O.N. stood as four separate entities — each one a titan within their respective field.
The first, the Neviar Research Corporation, existed at the helm of the pharmaceutical industry; renowned for their strides in modern and unique products, marking them as a singular saviour among a sea of power hungry suits.
Each year their resources, and profits, would see an unheard of increase and quickly Neviar became a household name; their message carried by the slew of salesmen that had been sent to the four corners of the nation — and soon after, beyond.
The second component of N.E.O.N. comprised of Eavarmoore Laboratories, a modest company that devoted their scientists to the study of the human genome and the endless possibilities of mutation. Though of course, for fear of retribution in a less than accepting era, much of their work and findings were hidden behind security clearances and covert storage facilities.
Yet remaining removed from the public eye only granted the company more time to continue, unencumbered by the growing fears of animal testing and the age of activists — to date, many within N.E.O.N. still fear what lies within the dusty documentation forgotten to time, and the lengths their founders went to.
The third piece of the N.E.O.N. puzzle lies with the Onyxveil Law Group, a firm of equal renown and infamy. To some it is unsurprising that of the four elements of the modern day, it was Onyxveil that crossed paths with the others long before they were one; offering their services in various disputes of short cuts, illegal practices and the burying of evidence.
Finally, the tetrad is completed with Nurogent International — a weapons manufacturer that initially sought to elevate themselves through the means of government contracts. Though despite the high, albeit dubious, quality of their products, many suspected that their methods and products bordered on the inhumane — at least enough for the American government to turn down a multitude of their proposals.
Instead, Nurogent found their fortune catering to the wealthy and the covert. They branched into the technological realm and rode the wave of the future all the way to a payday that saw them as a prominent player in the games of arms and technology — perhaps making them the most dangerous of the four segments.
Though while the other components of N.E.O.N. pose their own individual threats, together they are arguably the most powerful entity unknown to man. Pooling their resources to create the meta experimentation programme, weaponizing metas (read: morphs) into the elite mercenary unite, extending the reach of their pharmaceuticals and the depth of their research to barbarous heights.
Currently N.E.O.N. serves as the greatest threat to meta mutants everywhere, known as to boogeyman that lurks within the shadows and longs to sink its teeth into a living, breathing curiosity. They have single handily succeeded in replicating the power giving gene sequence and through this, have an army at their disposal ― made up of only the most powerful of morphs, while the others are sold off like cattle to the highest bidder.

That’s just what she did. She watched. Rust eyes settled on strangers. Wondering if they where truly as normal as they seemed. Or, if like her, the strange flickered under the surface... { Ruby }
Neon Tombstone can be classified as a superpowers or mutant rpg set in the fictional city of Neon. Located in seclusion of the Yukon, Canada. And while being inspired by different superhero / villains / mutants from a number of sources, this site will not be based in any of these universes. Just clearly an AU version of our own earth. Mutants are known about to select few. Not fully outed to the general public as of yet. We are currently searching for two more staff members, so if you are interested, check out our discord! We are also opening on February 1st - early reserves are now open!
