“What should I be for Halloween?” Kurt asked, scrolling through the costume store website. “I love being a pirate, but I don’t want to do the same thing every year, you know? I’ve changed it up, been different pirates. I’ve been Captain Blood, Captain Jack Sparrow, and the Dread Pirate Roberts. I’ve also been Legolas--from the Lord of the Rings, that is.” Kurt realized quickly that as Megan was from the 80′s, she probably didn’t recognize most of those names, not unless she’d done some serious pop culture catching up. The Lord of the Rings books at least existed back then, as did both the book and movie of Captain Blood. “Captain Jack Sparrow is from a set of movies called The Pirates of the Caribbean, and the Dread Pirate Roberts is from a movie called The Princess Bride. It’s fantastic, you must see it!”
