Loving all these AU’s where Mic goes mute for various reasons.... this fandom has good content... so of course I had to roleplay it immediately

I can see a villain just taunting Hizashi when he goes mute. Hizashi: 'goes mute' Villain: Oh what's that? What? You say something? Yeah that's right, I didn't so! Only for Hizashi to just wallop the crud out of him because the bad guy forgets that he has fists, lol

The villain’s biggest mistake is thinking that Mic needs to use his quirk to kick ass

I love the emotionally mute mic so much, i figure he learned about it when he was a kid when he got SUPER excited and his parents were basically watching him run around yelling excitedly but with no noise coming out?

That’s so cute! He either runs around or he’ll just flap his hands a lot to work off the happy energy!

Whenever Mic goes mute he carries around a spare pair of gloves that act as knuckle dusters/brass knuckles

Of course. He names them “Bass” and “Amp”.

When mic goes mute how does he unmute himself? Does he try to go somewhere to be alone and calm down? Does he go to shota for help? I'm loving this headcanon btw

He usually tries to unmute himself by trying to remove himself from the situation like escaping to a quiet room; stimming also helps! If that isn’t an option, he’ll just try to deal with it until he can calm down on his own. To go mute, the stimuli has to be pretty intense so it doesn’t happen as much when he’s adult compared to when he was a kid. Aizawa has since learned that Mic deals with this better on his own than with his company, so he’s gives him his space until he gets an ok from Mic.

I have a similar hc to your mute Hizashi one! I hc that when he gets overstimulated, he goes mute. It happens to me where suddenly noises are too loud, lights are too bright, touch feels way more intense; everything is amped up a lot. When I overstimulate, my brain shuts off and I can’t talk or form sentences. It’s pretty frustrating honestly... I’m surprised that someone else has a similar hc to me though but it makes me happy too!

Oh cool! Overstimulated was a word I was trying to explain but couldn’t think of ^^’ But yeah! When things become too much for Mic, he has that exact reaction and he can’t really communicate at all, which is beyond frustrating since his jobs kind of demand communication in high stress environments.

1 good thing about being on 2.5 hour calls for work is that I've learned to block out words spoken directly into my ear.
