✶ THE SUMMER I TURNED TO SALT.
a roleplay interest post — for the summer i turned pretty
“We were always on the edge of something. A kiss. A lie. A goodbye.”
🌊 ABOUT ME
hi. i’m lory (23, she/her) and i’ve been writing longform, emotionally heavy, character-driven roleplay for over a decade. my style leans advanced lit / novella—slowburn, atmospheric, sensory, and intimate. i care deeply about crafting emotional realism and complexity, especially through flawed characters, internal spirals, and unspoken moments that say more than words ever could.
i write exclusively on discord, use tupperbox, and prefer deeply collaborative writing partners who are just as invested in the pain, the pacing, and the character arcs as i am. i love rapid fire replies (when possible), but it’s not required if the connection is there.
🔞 18+ only. open to nsfw and dark/dead dove themes (grief, obsession, mental illness, trauma, unhealthy codependency, etc) with clear communication and boundaries. i’m not here to fade to black on the heavy stuff—i want to write it through.
🕯️ WHAT I’M LOOKING FOR
i’m currently drowning in muse for conrad fisher and would love to write something centered around his pov or story—whether canon-compliant, diverging, or entirely au. i’m especially interested in exploring the darker layers of him: his guilt, silence, addiction, repression, grief, and the kind of love that ruins you slowly.
📍ships i’m interested in:
belly + conrad (bonrad) → slowburn, silence as defense, guilt-laced tenderness
belly + jeremiah (jelly) → sweetness spoiled by secrets, love that doesn’t know itself
conrad + jeremiah (brotherhood, rivalry, betrayal, guilt—platonic or not)
open to triangle dynamics, character studies, or even OC-centered stories if the tone is right
💔 i want:
– a conrad who aches. who breaks things quietly. who wants to be good but doesn’t believe he can be
– a belly who remembers the way he looked at her like a secret, and what it cost her
– a jeremiah who smiles through the betrayal and drinks just to forget it for a night
🌪️ TONES / THEMES I’D LOVE TO EXPLORE
grief as character • love as damage • addiction • sibling rivalry • betrayal that tastes like saltwater • silence that rots • the house as a ghost • broken firsts • romantic ambivalence • emotional repression • the impossibility of being chosen too late • “you kissed her like you meant it and lied like you didn’t” • aftermath of love • codependency • slowburn collapse • summer as purgatory • memory as poison
📓 FORMATS I LOVE
– multi-muse writing (playing multiple characters)
– canon divergent rewrite (e.g. susannah lives / dies differently, belly never chose, etc)
– expanded universe: late night car rides, letters that never got sent, therapy sessions, text threads, dream sequences, spiraling
– time skips & timelines that spiral (college, post-canon, alternate ending etc)
– switching POVs if desired (i can write jeremiah, taylor, etc if the plot calls for it)
🧷 TROPES I’M OBSESSED WITH
enemies to lovers • unspoken feelings • unrequited love (or the illusion of it) • “i never stopped loving you” • mutual pining gone rotten • “you were always going to leave me” • forced proximity • jealousy that feels like grief • emotional spiral in a hotel bathroom • codependency • obsession • “you kissed me and made it worse” • grief sex • “i’m not him” / “but you wanted him” • misremembered summers • sibling betrayal • “it was just a game, wasn’t it?”
⚠ COMFORT ZONES & LIMITS
✨ will write:
mental health • trauma • grief • death • obsession • guilt • addiction • codependency • darker themes with nuance
⛔ will not write:
underage smut • glorified abuse • noncon/dubcon without narrative weight & consent • bigoted content of any kind
