He saddles up beside the IV, prepping it for his patient with a quiet hum of a pop song he can't get out of his head. It takes him a moment before he moves over to attach the tube to the needle in the other's arm. He swears he recognizes that shock of white hair from somewhere, but it's way too late at night (or does 4am count as early in the morning?) for him to think on it anymore.

"So vitals said you're severely dehydrated. When's the last time you had a drink? And I mean water, soda and energy drinks and whatever else doesn't count."

Shota's brow was knit tightly as she spoke, his mouth twisted. He wanted to say something, anything that might soften the words, but he knew he couldn't, not really.

"One could constitute that as evil behavior, but I generally don't take things that children do as something inherently evil. For some, it takes time to learn the difference between right and wrong. You do know that was wrong of you now, don't you?"

a wide eyed stare. something like... fear colors marianne's normally downcast expression. their mouth opens and clicks shut a few times, and words fail them as they try to splutter out a sentence.

"don't. please don't say it." desperation paints the edges of their voice. their hands grip both sides of kagame's arm, nails digging in. "please don't tell anyone else... you can't tell anyone else! please!!!"

Shota had become engaged in the soccer game that he had been watching, but the moment he had heard his daughter's voice, his attention broke away from the TV. Tiny hands rose up to battle him and he resisted the urge to let out a chuckle. It was best to not laugh, this was serious business after all.

He shifted his position on the couch leaning forward, resting his elbows on his knees as a means to get closer to her. "Fight you? I know better than to brawl with you," he said as a grin spread across his face. "Daddy'll lose."

That's Akemi Homura.

A young girl, probably about 14. She's in the same class as Miki Sayaka and Kaname Madoka. Despite being in junior high, she has an aura of... strange maturity. Her soul seems old. Ancient, even.

Her looks are stunning. With hair long as could be, dark as night and as silken as the princesses of yore. Yes, when Homura grows up, she'll be a real stunner. I have to admit, she'd be fun to draw and dress up in those heroic tales. She'd fit them quite well.

There's something off about her, too. The way her eyes shine are... not right. She's hiding something from me, no matter how I try to show her I'm on her side, as all big sisters senpais should be. I want her to know she can rely on me. No matter what.

Just so she doesn't make the same mistake I made of isolating myself.
