a trans man / trans masc asking you not to call them girl isn't them being rude btw. I've seen several people say and have had many people say to me personally that me saying " hey please don't call me girl " is being rude and implying that i hate women / girls. using gendered terms for a trans person who specifically has said that they aren't comfortable with it is still misgendering, yes, even if they're a trans man / trans masc.
edit: i mean this in the nicest way possible but please stop derailing this post. this post was about my personal experience as a trans masc but like. most of the replies are talking about " if this was about trans fems then- ". i dont have a problem with transfems relating to my posts, and i know that being trans will mean we have a lot of overlapping experiences, but this post is SPECIFICALLY about trans mascs being called girl, not transfems being called dude. again, not trying to be rude here, just this post was about transmascs. ( no hate to anyone in the notes who did say stuff about transfems being called dude though, that is a real issue that needs to be discussed. ) ( its 2am and i havent slept so idk if my wording made sense / if it came off as rude sorry )
